That is too young to die. How depressing, I always admired his awesomely deep voice. I wont soon forget his terrific performance as a voice actor.

Wow, this is sad. Although I've never heard his voice in other series, I think he was great as Tenshinhan and I assume he was great in his other roles as well. May he rest in peace.

Oh my gosh.

Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh...

This may sound completely superficial, but I just finished watching the third Dragon Ball movie.... And swooning over Ten's voice. ^^;;

Thank you, sir, for bringing to life my absolute favorite character. Your ability to make him sound bad-ass, some times a bit goofy, serious, everything.

I sound like a fool. But, my God, this is such news.

..Oh, man...

I remember once when I was watching one of my Kenshin DVDs thinking I recognized the voice of Saito, but couldn't place it for some reason. I now know it was the same voice actor as Tenshinhan. Sorry to hear of his passing. He really brought a anti-hero type persona and tone to the characters of Ten and Saito. I will miss hearing his voice in any future DB games or any other anime for that matter.

Well, that's sad to hear he passed at such a young age. :(

Looking at his credits, he's been in quite a few of the series I've seen. Including those listed earlier, there's also Macross(Lynn Kaifun) and Genesis Climber Mospeada(Yellow Belmont).

May he forever be remembered and Rest In Peace.

Man, this really crapped up my day. :\ It's always sad hearing about certain people passing away. And man, what a person to go.

Tenshinhan is not only shoved off into the shadows in Dragon Ball Z while the others continue on, but his seiyuu ends up dying before even Masako Nozawa (which is gonna be REALLY hard to deal with when her time comes up).

To a man who provided a wonderful cast of voices, I wish that he rest in peace. And I hope that when Sparking Neo and future games involving him come up, that they simply reuse recordings from the show and games, rather than getting a new VA.

So he also provided Sakaki/Giovanni's voice, hm? Looks like he definately won't be talking again now. :s

Tenshinhan's voice is what really made him stand out at times. The Shin-Kikoho will never be the same.

Well, in case someone is interested, you can still hear his voice sample at Ken Productions (the agency that represented him). Here's the link :

If anyone knows Japanese here, please put up a translation of what Mr. Suzuoki is saying. It'd be much appreciated.
