That OP picture is sick...
Regarding Kefla, I've seen a few people complain that personality-wise, she's basically all Caulifla, with the only hint of Kale being the green hair and explosive power. I sort of get the complaint (it's the main reason why I prefer the two of them separately even though Kefla was pretty cool), but I think at the same time, it's worth considering that Kefla came into being at the resolution of Kale's character development. By 114, she had pretty much shed her timidness and was fighting alongside Caulifla with full confidence. Hell, she was downright arrogant by the end of it; "Red, blue, it's all the same"? How'd that turn out, Kale?
Anyway, it stands to reason that Kefla would also have that confidence. Since the effect of the fusion sees to be tied to personality in some way, I imagine Kefla would be nowhere near as strong as she ended up being if they had fused at the beginning of the tournament, before the events of 101. Can you imagine what Kefla would have been like if they fused early? It'd be this weird mixture of cocky and timid. I'm picturing some sort of Miles Gloriosus type, all bark and no bite, a total mess.
Kale Explained - Personality, Power
Re: Kale Explained - Personality, Power
i agree completely. we have not seen too many examples, but it seems like the only time a fusion is produced that is able to merge the powers of the participants so well is when they have a deep connection to each other. for example how vegito kinda just did his own thing with the exception of one or two techniques which combined goku and vegeta's abilities. also you could clearly see different aspects of vegeta and goku come out from vegito as if sometimes he was choosing between the two. kefla took it to a completely different level with lasers and shit, completely combining both of their abilities in a perfect unison. perhaps they we can also call her personality a perfect unison between caulifla and kale as well. not necessarily displaying personality aspects from both participants, but a single personality that is a mix of both.Kataphrut wrote:That OP picture is sick...

i suppose merged zamasu is a pretty good example too. he pretty much fused with himself so there was no double voice shit. trunks and goten get along really well so gotenks is a perfect mix of their personalities too. he just doesn't hold back at all. and that ghost stuff is sick. the only place a technique like that can come from is a perfect fusion.
anyway, i really like kefla. the main problem i have with the tournament of power overall is that they did not take more time to slowly tease and introduce the different universes, the way people live in the different universes, their stats, and the participating fighters before the tournament. if they did that, not only would the ToP be better in general, but many of the more popular fighters in the tournament would actually matter as they go down in battle, and kefla would have been a lot more special. i hope we get to see her again someday.
