Does Super put more emphasis on skill rather than power?

roshi's skill? I'm sorry but roshi does not have skill. he was overpowerd to please the fans thats it.

Oh, okay. The Universe Survival Arc does focus on skill more.

Super does seem to focus on skill more so than Z or the original series. Which isn't a bad thing, nothing wrong with some characters being more skill based and others more power based. Kind of like classes in an rpg.

Characters like Roshi, Hit, Krillin, etc could battle on using cunning, technique, and skills, while characters like Vegeta, Kale, Frieza, etc focus more on brute force and power instead of skill. Goku, GoD, Jiren, etc being a mix up between skill and brute power.
