How you would rewrite DBGT ?

The Ultimate Dragon Balls are the "fear of the universe" thing. They collect the expelled energy of the Earth Dragon Balls, Namekian Dragon Balls and Super Dragon Balls and are only known because the Namekian Book of Legends tells about Dragon God Zarama giving some Namekians the power to create some as a pair of them always needs to be existing to store the energy. The Evil Dragons were barely stopped. The outcome was devastating and cataclysmic but the universe survived as only a small portion of energy was contained in the Dragon Balls

Goku is pretty fond of the idea that such entities exist and thinks they woud surely be a good match for him but Chichi scolds him, not even thinking about that ever again. He is supposed to go and find the Dragon Balls with Trunks and Goten

Bulma has problems making a Dragon Radar that captures the energetic signature of the Ultimate Dragon Balls so she needs to study the emission of negative energy for a while. Gohan and Trunks help her with that. They also think about asking Shenlong for helping them with the radar but Gohan is highly against it because that is what started it in the first place. Eventually they succeed in making a radar all by themselves then.

They begin their journey - with not actually finding a Dragon Ball on every planet. They have some other reasons to land on them like repairing the ship, et cetera. Meanwhile they solve the problems of those planets like in the show.

Reaching Zunama's planet, Trunks is highly against the whole disguise thing. But he eventually gives in. Then when Zunama stands before him and talks about how pretty he is the totally embarassed Trunks thinks its enough. He grabs Tapion's sword that he hid in a corner and cuts of Zunama's whiskers while still standing on the balcony. Then an earthquake starts and while they consider that with the whiskers being cut off the quake is out of control they quickly realize that Zunama was just a trickster and get rid of that volcano.

On Lood they realize how strong Machine Mutants are with the resurrection of that pseudo Destruction God but Goku thought it was quite interesting. He thinks it would be boring if there was no one out anymore to make for a good battle.

M2 happens and they wake up Baby who wrecks havoc throughout the universe. As he knows about the whole Ultimate Dragon Ball affair he goes after them: He wants to use them for his revenge. And even worse: He even wants to use the dragons under his control to keep his new place as the superior.

The others collect a few more Dragon Balls. They have 2 left. One is far away. The other one for some reason is now located on Earth. They decide to go after that one first, especially as they need to stop Baby anyway since he is an immediate danger for their planet.

Baby brings the others under his control while specifically possessing some of them in this order: Yamcha -> Tenshinhan -> Lazuli -> Goten -> Gohan -> Vegeta.

When the trio comes back Baby realizes they do not have all of the Dragon Balls with them. It does not really matter for him though. He decides to use the Earth Dragon Balls to bring his planet back later. And the Dragons can still be summoned eventually.

Goku has a lot of trouble bringing out his power against Baby that animates Vegeta's body. Kibito and Shin barely save him and bring him to the Kaioshin realm. Shin wonders if they should ask Beerus but Beerus says that's their own problem so they have to actually solve it. Also he gets into a quarrel with that Kaioshin that they as they other side of the coin gods help tout that much. Shin says this is no different from Boo. While Baby himself might be a problem originally caused by the Saiyajin, the consequences of letting him be as well as the Evil Dragons are far too much to let them pass. Things also get very heated when Shin mentions the possibility of a Vegeta possessing Baby being too big for Beerus himself. With that Beerus gets really pissed but cools off 10 seconds later with a "you amost got me, nice try", once more acting like no one could surpass him this easily.

As the Kaioshin expects Beerus not to join them and handle things they need to thing of a way to help Goku. Goku can hardly make use of anything in this body. His IT is limited, SSJ3 is like almost a no go, his godly powers can only be partially used, Migatte no Goku'i is also like it hardly ever existed. Then the Elder Kaioshin thinks that with the Saiyajin's tails making it easier for their power to be used, with Goku agreeing that there was always some sort of reief and remembering the battle with Giran when making use of the tail led his opponent to give up "with Goku just simplifying it as "his tail always seemed to make him stronger"), they give it a try. And it actually works. Goku has it easier to access SSJ3 and his god powers.

Still, that's hardly helpful. Baby has full control over all of Vegeta's powers. Like, completely. And he enhances them. So time for SSJ4, breaking the Dragon's spell and Golden Oozaru Baby. And the rest is history. Except Goku always reverts back to a kid as long as the whole Dragon Ball thing is not completely done.

There are few things i'd change for sure
-More Piccolo
-More Uub after Baby arc
-Pan could get a SSJ or some original transformation
-Completely remake Rage Shenron and make him go after Bulma while Goku fight other dragons. Then Vegeta could fight him and then go and listen to Bulma's idea on how to make him go SSJ4.
-Completely get rid of Oceanus Shenron's true form.
-Redesign Sigma Force. They could be good, but their designs were awful.
