Will there ever be a Budokai 4?

"Budokai 4?"
I hope so.
And I hope it comes out for Wii, because that's what I'm planning to get. Everyone's suggestions for features sound A-OK to me, as well.

As I've said before...
When both fighters grapple simultaneously, they should initiate this position:

When you press the triangle button, you can knee-bash. With the square button, you can head-bash. Electricity surrounds both fighters, and you can wreak havoc on the environment.
Oh, and so far Sparking! NEO whoops B3's puny ass- although I'm VERY fond of B3 in particular.

If you ever played Def Jam: Fight for New York there's like 70 different characters with character specific moves and the CaC mode with like 8 voice opinions and with dozens and dozens of facial options. And when I played that I wondered why something like this wasn't in Tenkaichi.

I've talked to more people who *want* a CaC than who don't. Far more. I can't see how you can ask for "What-if" stuff ('Yamhan' and an SSJ transformation for Pan) and then call CaC a terrible idea. They're both the exact same concept, especially Yamhan.Pedro The Hutt wrote:I've said it before and I'll say it again. In my opinion character creation in a DBZ game is a terrible idea. Most people buy a Dragonball game to play as Goku or Kuririn or Vegeta or who-ever their fave is. And since Dragonball is also very character centered. Introducing any other faces to it would pretty much make for a character-insert Mary-Sue fic sort of deal.
And besides, how would it work sound wise? Get four or so seiyuu that previously haven't done any DB work into a sound booth and have them shout every Dragonball Z attack out loud so that you can have a complete move list to choose from for your own character's moves?
And I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you don't want to fight random moron #587's "SSJ22 Gok0!!!" then, well, don't. Besides, if the system is handled right (like needing to train/level up to gain moves/transformations) you can't have a 'mary-sue' character.
And sounds are beyond simplistic. Get 5, 10, 20 people for each gender and have them record grunts, groans, shouts, taunts, intro's, and outro's and you're set. It's not needed for them to go through the attack names or anything. The majority of people with CaC characters wouldn't be giving them existing moves anyway, they'd be editing/designing their own.
Eh, looks like more of the same to me. Pan, Pikkon, Tapion, and Hildegarn deamand I get the game, however. And I can see it has some potential... but they still seriously fudged the hand-to-hand and I can see the matches will still devolve into energy spamming more often than not.Oh, and so far Sparking! <Kaboom> I'm just glad that he now sounds more like Invader Zim than Rita Repulsa
<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

Brilliant idea!, I know it's not going to happen but with ideas like this and some of the other ideas fans have had to improve Dragonball games, they should create a forum somewhere so people can take notes from the fans views so they can create a brilliant Dragonball game.Steven Perry wrote:As I've said before...
