Holy shit, Trunks can use the timemachine to travel to Namek!
So, why doesn't he travel to Namek during the Trunks special (a micro-second behind his time), and use the big Dragon balls to wish everyone back?!

Because "Old Namek" was already blowed up, and nobody knew where "New Namek" was.

Smart guy eh?
Trunks could kill Frieza on Namek then and there, explain stuff to the Z-fighters, then ask Porunga to return to the balls. Afterwards, Trunks could take the Dragon balls with him to the future...
THEN WISH PICCOLO BACK! Trunks returns the Namekian's Dragon balls, and uses the Earth Dragon balls to wish everyone back. After all the years Goku spent in Other World, he'd probably be a SS3- having the ability to obliterate the androids.
