Something I forgot in trivia:
When Goku asks what a bride is, Kuririn gives Goku a fairly straight explanation in Japanese, "You moron! Making a girl your bride means you're going to marry her!" In Funi's dub, that line begins "Roughly translated, it means your life is over!!", basically positing that Kuririn is strictly anti-marriage (I didn't find the exact line, but I recall watching the Funi dub of this episode at one point, and Kuririn saying something like "Don't do it!" at one point), as opposed to the original, where the thing that's making him upset is that he can't believe Goku got a girl like Chichi, seemingly by complete accident (Blue Water's line here was "You goof! A bride is a girl you're supposed to marry, Goku!"). Another example of this change in Kuririn's attitude is his Japanese line right after Chichi kisses Goku on the cheek, "This isn't fair! This isn't fair! This isn't fair, Goku!" becomes "Goku, have you lost all your senses?! What are you doing?!" Again, Blue Water has none of that, and instead accurately renders Kuririn's jealousy, with him angrily saying to himself "I can't stand it, it's so unfair! Goku is so lucky!!"
For some reason Funimation had a vendetta against Krillin wanting to get married. Pretty much any reference in the Namek arc to him wanting to get married was completely rewritten.
It’s bizarre for a “Bachelor for life! No ball and chain for this guy!” type to try to marry the first woman he dates despite her being a gold digger or ya know fall head over heels for a woman who just pecked him on the cheek.

Wow, so they rewrote those scenes to make Krillin be all "marriage is bad and icky" when the Japanese was the complete opposite? I seriously don't get what FUNi's script writers were thinking there because as you say above it contradicts with what happens later on in DBZ.
DB collection related goals as of now:
1.) Find decent priced copy of Dragon Box Z Vol. 4 (Done)
2.) Collect rest of manga
3.) Get rest of Daizenshuu (2-7)

Of course so would have to be those types of people at the time, and so they just couldn't resist putting some of those "marriage is bad" jokes in and have Krillin written to say them for the lulz even when it's the compiete opposite in the original and clashes with what happens with him later on given his brief relationship with Maron and eventually Android #18.

Sadly that attitude wasn't just prevalent here, there was also a lot of complaining about Peter Parker being married in the Spider-Man comics at the time(which is what led to the absolutely atrocious "One More Day" which we're still feeling the effects of today).
