What other Anime would make a good crossover with DBZ?

Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

All the good ones take place in our earth, so its hard to crossover with dbz.
DBZ's earth doesnt even have the same continents.

Yu Yu Hakasho? Togashi-Sensei is too sick to continue Hunter X Hunter, let alone going back to Yu Yu Hakusho and doing a crossover. (Also, has anyone heard any news on Togashi-Sensei's health recently...?)
EvilGamerX wrote:Bo-bobo would be awesome! At the moment, we only have the spoof. I don't think a crossover will happen though. I don't think the second series of Bo-bobo is doing too well.
Yes, Bo-bobo would be pretty sweet, but yes, the second part of the manga (Shinsetsu I believe) is not as good as the first part...

Well the creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, is at least fond of Dragonball if not a fan. Then again most of the younger generation mangaka are. 8) As for a good crossover? I think you all said the potential crossovers... at least the good ones. Hmm... Inuyasha maybe?

:? I need to catch up on my manga titles...

I second that notion Rick. Dr. Slump is a funny manga even if it is intended for kids. It makes you smile... I personally think comedy is Toryiama Sensei's real "niche" as a mangaka. Though he's a writer and cartoonist of great talent as we saw with Dragonball. He can go from fantasy-action, comedy to even drama. :D

What do you mean? Most manga are for older teens to adults. The only Manga I can think of that are for children are published in CoroCoro Comics, and they are titles such as Pocket Monsters, Beyblades, Duel Masters, etc.

I consider most Shonen Jump titles to be for a majority of the demographic. Kinda like an all ages comics. It really has no specific audience.

That might depend on how you look at it, and the time period. Kind of how old MGM-Warner Bros. cartoons weren't considered for kids back in the 30s and 40s, but they are now.

Yeah, I guess I see where you are coming from. Also, are you referring to the English adaptions by VIZ? Because, now, they are censoring a vast amount of the tankobon they publish.

Well to me a "kid" is someone below the age of 12-13... . Also doesen't Shonen mean "young boy"? Obviously Dr. Slump is meant for a younger audience but like Dragonball can appeal to adults as well.

Yes, but in Japan, their view on what's good for children is drastically different than here in the States.

Fist of the North Star.

That'd be some live shit to see how Hokuto Shinken and Nanto Seiken would fair against someone from the Dragonball universe.

Haha, yes. I do agree he shouldn't be edited, but I honestly think Toriyama-Sensei was drawing him after a stereotypical Black person.

Berserk, I'd love to see Goku and Guts team up and fight some really bizzare demons.
