Toriyama will never bring them back. While Black and Zamasu were easily the best villains to come out of Super, they were a headache for the writers to deal with. They were made too strong; Goku Black with Saiyan hax, no different from the MC, and Zamasu who was literally invincible and unbeatable. The writers (Toriyama/Toei) pretty much wrote themselves into a corner by making two villains who basically had no weakness.

How would a restored Zamasu even be defeated? He cannot be destroyed because he is Immortal, and he cannot be sealed because he will remember the Mafuba and will pay more attention to sealing techniques. You would have to rehash the Zeno ending pretty much.

So, while I understand your desire to see them return (they were easily the best villains of Super), unfortunately an entire timeline was sacrificed to defeat them, because they were so hard to deal with for the writers and the protagonists (Saiyan hax + immortality was way too OP for a villain).

They came back in Heroes because Heroes is silly secondary storyline where people come and go with no logic put into it.

Well, they can keep the immortal Zamasu sealed on Trunks new timeline and have the Goku Black there escape and do his own thing.

Or they can use the SDB to get rid of Zamasu's immortality or something.

It would be hilarious if the Black and Zamasu of that new timeline somehow broke free and started terrorizing the humans again, that's true.

I feel like universe traveling is cool but also since goten,trunks,and matron after hopefully we get lost end of z stuff.
