Really? Kids that young are still exposed to it?
I can't stress this enough, but DB is common knowledge in Japan. Once a series ends it's not like America where nobody is exposed to it.

You can't go to Blockbuster and get Eek! The Cat or Taz-Mania but in Japan if you go to ANY bookstore, there's 1-42 waiting to be picked up. Not to mention the DVD releases now make the entire freaking series available at ANY time.

When I first came here in 2001, there was little talk of DB but it was still something everyone knew about.

It's just been under a highly publicized marketting blitz for the past few years and will eventually die out again (and from the looks of it without a new film, the fuckers) but it's still something that will always be known.

I mean, it's freaking Dragon Ball.

Big fan in my second year class is convinced the final attack from 1 Star killed him and the final Genki Dama was performed by Goku's spirit.

Just goes to show even fans from its hometown can share a variety of views on it.

I agree with him too, I think that's a nice way to end the series.

I like to think that Goku's Kickin it with Master Roshi, as the last two living characters(Both being immortal).

Of course they are. I've got all the McDonald's DBZ figures from last year's Happy Meals. They're certainly not targeted at me. Furthermore, we also learned via Podcast Episode #0030 that there's a lot of "hand-me-downs" going on. From their parents, from their older siblings, etc.
They made DBZ Happy Meal figures last year?

Well, umm...according to this thing, Dragon Ball is the best selling Shonen Jump manga of all time. Add to what omae no kaasan said about finding all 42 volumes in any bookstore, I guess at least the manga is still pretty big over in Japan.

That actually makes sense. a lot... like " " kind of sense.

In fact, until I read that, I never really understood wtf happened in the last episode of GT. But this puts it in a whole new light. Dragonball is now more complete to me. 8)

You're all insane.

Why, it's quite obvious he's having tea and cakes with Shenron and Luffy.
