But he was being pricky about it.Duo wrote:He posted that a mere three minutes after you posted initially, meaning he almost undoubtedly didn't see your edit before he started his post. Also, he said nothing insulting in your direction, he simply pointed it out. Grow up.dick wrote:Hence me correcting myself, dick.
Whatever, I don't wanna start a pointless arguement on here, so lets just drop it.

Everyone vs. Vegeta during the Saiyan arc (this was a balls-to-the-wall battle, and it showed, everyone was really bloody, injured, & just plain exhausted after that fight. Plus, Goku vs. Vegeta set up the rivalry for the rest of the series.)
& in 2nd place:
Goku vs. Freeza (Yes, it was REALLY LONG in the anime, but I didn't care. The damn thing was epic, and the performances by Ryusei Nakao & Masako Nozawa were amazing.)

Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.
Oh yeah, that too, I love how realistic the aftermath is, carrying Goku away, and (for once) being HOSPITALISED, the Dragonball fighters, hospitalised, who'd have seen that coming?theoriginalbilis wrote:Everyone vs. Vegeta during the Saiyan arc (this was a balls-to-the-wall battle, and it showed, everyone was really bloody, injured, & just plain exhausted after that fight.
I pretty much dislike all the "end battles" that occur in the end of every arc.
My favorite fights are the "minor" ones occuring, such as Gohan vs. Vegeta in the Saiyan arc, Vegeta vs. Recoome in the Ginyu arc, Krillin vs. Nappa in the Saiyan arc ect.
The big fights bore me because of that only the strongest characters fight in there, and they always fight the same. After the Freeza arc, all the new moves dissapeared. The only thing left was the kamehameha and shunkan idou for Goku.
That's why I also like the filler in the anime where the weaker characters fight, like when the humans and Piccolo shot at Super Perfect Cell or when Yamcha fought Piccolo when he was infected in the Garlic Jr. arc.
Plus the weaker characters use more different techniques, making the fights more interesting.

My favorite fight was the second fight between Goku and Vegeta.
I was anticipating it for a long time and it did not dissapoint. First of all, seeing them both fight for the first time at SS2 really made it really cool. I also thought that it just had awsome sequences that the anime expanded on really well and Toriyama drew brilliantly. It was one of the bloodiest fights in the series and was a true demonstration of power-clashing and two equal forces colliding (or at least so it seemed). Also, the whole idea of it and stage that was set was very cool. The fact that Vegeta let himself be possesed into "Majin Vegeta" and had all of that anger, hate, and humiliation finally taken out really hit home. Vegeta gave some great monolouges. The fight was also among other chaos and that made it more intense.
Their first fight is up there too for me, but this is definatly my number one.

Gohan vs. Super Buu.
What I love about this battle is the fact that before, Gohan was beaten by Buu. He couldn't even put a finger on him without being blown away. Then he got the training from Elder Kai, went up to face Buu, when Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks didn't believe that he could win, and kicks Buu's scrawny little ass. Even the way he fights and the way he's so confident makes this one of the best fights in DBZ. (The music in the Funi dub made it even more enjoyable!)

For me, it has to be the first Gokuu vs. Vegeta battle. Fuckin' epic! It sets up the main rivalry of the series, one that eventually turns to almost a friendship (I don't think Vegeta would ever admit that, though
) But back to the battle, it's just so brutal and intense, and just when you think it's over the characters pull something out of nowhere to keep on fighting. I love the way it ends with Vegeta crawling to his spaceship as Krillin limps after him. It's almost comical, but incredibly effective. And Gokuu's speech at the end, the music, all of it comes together so beautifully it almost made me cry the first time I saw it in Japanese.

Would obligatory magic ritual be better said than training? You really have something against Gohan sitting on his rear for 20 hours I think. Though it certainly is a magical ritual, as Gohan's body is put under a state where he doesn't feel the urge to eat, drink, sleep, or wiz in over a day. I will say this, that method of reaching his full potential was certainly original.Rocketman wrote:Training? Lol.
