Budokai/Tenkaichi series: Favourite characters to play with?

I like to go with the humans, mostly Ten and Yamcha. Tao Pai Pai is another favourite. Asides from them, I like to use Gohan (either Cell or Buu saga) and Future Trunks a fair bit as well.

Ha-chan and Future Gohan will, I image, see a fair bit of use by me once BT3 is released.

In Tenkaichi 2 I mostly use Vegeta (Scouter) and Tullece. He's got some badass Blast 2 moves and a Blast 1 that regained a health bar and Sparking mode (it seems Spike weakened it in BT3, they probably thought Tullece was too overpowered), but occasionally I play as Freeza or Cell. In T3 my favorites are Vegeta (Scouter), King Vegeta, and Arale (my brother thinks she's too overpowered for some reason).

I mostly just shy away from Super Saiyans and movie/GT characters for the most part, though. My brother continually uses SSJ4 Gogeta in our battles, yet I mostly whip him every time (using a low-level character like Tullece or Arale, no less).

1. Freeza

He's my favorite and in Meteor he got a lot of upgrades to his moves. A unique animation for Form 1's rush, better versions Form 2's Blast 2 and Ultimate, Form 3 hasn't been touched since BT1....sadly, but Final Form has the 2 Ki Bar Death Beam Barrage and a better Ultimate. 100% Gets one of those unblockable charges and a new (and better in my opinion) Ultimate.

He gets about 1/2 a life bar back with each transformation, and charges Ki faster than most.

2. Zarbon

I have no idea. I just feel compelled to pick Zarbon as well whenever I pick Freeza for a team. I just like the guy.

3. Roshi

Nothing makes me happier than wiping the floor with someone that picks GT that or Movie this with the original badass.

4. Piccolo (Early)

Meteor has answered my prayers. I'll take this Piccolo over the later one anyday.

I think Future Gohan really kicks ass. All of his specials, whether its his regular form, or Super Saiyan form, are powerful.

Well, does Shin Budokai count?

1. Future Gohan - SB2:AR was his modern vidjamagame debut, and he made an impact. Really cool character, although Trunks should have been the one to get all the different powerups from the story. F. Gohan's got some really nice, long melee chains he can pull off.

4. Krillin - Small and fast. I've been playing as him a lot. TaiyoKen's effects last the longest of any stun in the game. His base form's Ultimate Blast is cool, too. Plus, the Kienzan's unblockable.

3. Majin Vegeta - Just badass. Fast, strong, and his Ultimate is near impossible to dodge.

4. Broly - Large and in charge. Big, powerful attacks, combined with his Hyper Armor make him nearly unstoppable. The explosion from his Ultimate is pure visual sex, as well.

5. SSj4 Goku - I just like SSj4.

1: Gero - He's even better than in Neo, it's so easy to absorb B2's and B3's now. I love it.
2: Seripa - Saiyan female. Nuff said.

New list for BT3/Meteor:

SSJ4 Gogeta - Same as last time.

SSJ Gogeta - His Big Bang Kamehameha and his ungodly awesome ultimate.

SSJ3 Goku - I just love having him fight against SSJ2 Teen Gohan in their Saiyan armors in the ROSAT.

King Piccolo - My God do I love using him. It is so awesome to have the aura changing items, because now I can have a red-aura King Piccolo instead of the yellow SSJ aura color.

Too bad you can't change the aura they have when they're powering up...

Future Gohan - Such a dream come true. Too bad it looks like he uses only one of his arms during battle. Why te hell didn't they just give 'em a one-arm custume?!?

Haven't played BT 3/Meteor yet, but here are my favorites for BT 2/Neo:

1) Tapion. Because I love him as a character and I love using characters with swords. Using Tapion reminds me of Link and it feels like a Zelda game when I play as him, and I love Zelda games.

2) SSJ 2 "Teen" Gohan (Though, like everyone else has said, isn't really "Teen" ^_^) I like him as a character, and his moves are baddass. Nuff said.

3) SSJ 4 Gogeta. Because I love his alternete outfit, and he's really good if you want to get a "Z" rank in the Ultimate Battle Z mode, for his Ultimate Impact attack gives you a "Z" In the combo rank.

(Plus it ends the battle quickly, giving you another "Z")

4) Ultimate Gohan. Because he's baddass.

In BT 3, I plan to use Mirai Gohan a lot, for he is one of my favorite characters.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I also like using #18 because I love how she gains her Ki quickly and because she's a fun character to use.

what is that unlockable charge thingy?

I haven't used Freeza myself yet, but I think "unblockable charge" refers to those Blast 2 attacks where the character charges at the enemy like a tackle. I believe Paikuhan was the first to have that type of move in the previous game, and several characters get that kind of move in this game. I know Arale and Nam have it, too.

In Tenkaichi 3 my absolute favorite character to fight as is kid Trunks. Besides him, I usually use Goku (mid) , GT Goku ssj, Ultimate Gohan, Gogeta and Vegetto. But I'm really disapointed with Gotenks, he's not as good as I would like.
