I know Meri's already got her Top 5 segment, but I really enjoyed that little "Female Response" segment that came about from the first e-mail. The only problem is that it's probably pretty difficult to make the topic connected to DB after a while.

I know I'm very, very late to the party posting here, but I just listened to the episode, I've been catching up from the beginning. Pro wrestling was a big deal in Japan in the 1980s and into the 1990s, but right now it's a basically a hardcore only audience. It's been a while since I've read the manga, but I distinctly recall an Andre the Giant type character in the prelims of the first Tenkaichi Budokai, and Mr. Satan is, I believe, a parody of the very famous wrestler Antonio Inoki, who booked himself against various martial artists to prove that pro wrestling was the best martial art. If I'm breaking a rule by posting here now, I apologize.
Andre the Giant... Anton the Great? (dub name, unsure if it´s the same in Japanese)
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
