Who do you think is the most overrated character in DBZ?

I think Broly is the most overrated in my opinion. Fans keep on yelling and screaming that Brolly is just as strong as SSj3 Goku whenever someone says that Brolly is weaker then Cell(I'm not a huge fanboy of Brolly but I do like him and I know that he is not weaker then Cell)

Definately Broli. All he does post transformation is indiscriminately beat people up, and poeple love him for that and the fact that "his power is maximum."

I´m saying Overrated in fandom like we all know that the character with the most fanboys is Goku.

And my point still stands. In Detective comics fandom, Batman has the most fanboys. In Action Comics, Superman has the most fanboys. In both comics there are other superheroes and vigilantes who make plenty of appearances, but Superman and Batman take center stage just like Goku does in Dragonball.

So, to sat that the main character who takes center focus is overrated is really hard to pull off. This is especially the case when it seems to be that he is the most powerful being in the living Universe and the Afterlife!

I didn't even think about that! I never really understood why people liked Brolli so much except that he's sometimes fun to play as in the games.

Exactly, I don't see anything in his character, or design that is deserving of the ardent fan boy love he receives.

I think there could have been a million more things done with the idea of a Super Saiyajin as a villain, Broly was nothing but a disappointment to me.

I want SSJ Tullece dammit.

"Over-rated" is purely an opinion. People like what they like. Vic, these threads may fly at other forums, but they don't serve much good here.

Why has noone mentioned Ultimate Gohan, gah, I hate that SOB. Actually I hate regular Adult Gohan as well...

Also yes, Goku is by far the most overrated character!

Because nobody really overrates Adult Gohan. It's like "Yeah, he's pretty powerful but he got shafted like he was the new Kuririn."

That's why people don't think he's overrated.

Goku is the most overrated character by far, which is excusable seeing as how he's the main character. My friend is the worst when it comes to his love of Goku. 130 characters in the Sparking series and all he wants to do is play with the Goku's over and over again.

I think Vegeta is very overated (I don't hate him anymore), Goku can't help that he's overated also because he's the main character.

Broli is overated too.

and Gohan is not overated because people don't like him, they bash him in fact, maybe for the following reasons.

1. He turned to studying in the end, people can't quit fightng and follow their mother's wishes.

2. He's half saiyan half "Freaky Bitch" (This is accroding to GokuxVegeta, GokuxSue and GokuxUsagi fangirls)

3. His constancy to rely on Goku to save the world. (HE'S HIS SON FOR CRYING OUT LOUD and a half human!!)

I guess I scored some bad points with RocketMan didn't I?

Meh, I don't see killing a major villain as any reason for a character to be more or less awesome. It's about the hows, man!

Nevertheless... Goku, Vegeta, Mirai Trunks and Broli... Hmm... I'm going to go with Vegeta and Broli. XD. I think a lot of people go for strength and ... badassary? (And I wonder if that has anything to do with strength debates...).
... but if I can say this without coming off as acting superior (''cause I most certainly am not...), by the end of the Cell saga's run on Toonami I was more into fun characters (Mr. Satan and Goten FTW!), And I'd not mind being an elementary school student and hanging out with the Son kids...

Perhaps this is a potential can of worms, but I recall back when lots of character page mergers were getting started in the DB portion of wikipedia, major characters tended to get merged, while Broli and Cooler were treated by some as though they obviously deserved their own articles (as opposed to Kuririn, Tenshinhan, Bulma...). Why those two specifically? (Retorical(SP?) question).

Why do people have the idea that Goku beats every villain?

Piccolo technically beats Raditz, Gohan squishes Vegeta, Vegeta kills Dodoria, Zarbon, Guldo, Jiisu, Ginyu, Trunks kills Mecha-Freeza and King Cold, Vegeta kills 19, Piccolo beats 20 and 17, Gohan kills Cell, Boo kills Dabura, and the entire galaxy has a hand in destroying Kid Boo.

Really, the only villains Goku actually beats are Nappa, Freeza and to some extend Kid Boo. Sure he comes to save the day often but so do a lot of the other characters.

I personally think that Gogeta (and his ridiculous SSJ4 GT counterpart) is the most overrated character. Fanboys like him because he's strong. Great. Well a lot of the movie characters bother me simply because they're so thin personality wise when compared to the actual storyline characters that had time to develop.

Well those crazy Broly fanboys who think that Broly can beat SSJ3 Goku are the ones from youtube in nearly every single Broly vs. Goku video or whatever they start saying ¨OMG BROLY IS THE BOMB HE IS stonger tHAN ssj4 goku he can PWN anybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG!!!11¨

There just dumb fools who have probably only watched a little bit of DBZ.
