How old is Vegeta?

Why everyone always says 10 years passed between DBZ and DBGT?

The DBGT perfect files say it was 5 years. The space trip started at 789...

so that would make vegeta 61 at the beggining of GT, and 62 at the end.

By "everyone" do you mean the people here or the people throughout the web? Because it was only mentioned once here (by me) and I made it clear that I wasn't sure about the authenticity of the list. If the Perfect Files really do say that it was five years than I will definitely believe that over anything else I read, and I'm sure everyone else here will too.

And assuming that the period of time between Z and GT was only five years that would make Goku 59 and the end of GT (according to my math and knowledge): Goku was 32 during the Trunks Saga so would have been 35 during the Android Saga, and after 1 years of training in the ROSAT he would have been 36 for the Cell Saga. And after being dead for 7 years he would have been 43 years old during the Majin Buu Saga (36 physically) and 53 at the end of DBZ. Since 5 years went by between Z and GT and GT took 1 year Goku would be 59 at the end of GT.

I think even kanzentai's site say it's 10 years...

about goku's age

he was born in 737, and GT started at 789. So that's 52 years. minus 8 years he was dead: 44. Plus 1 year at the the ROST: 45.

So 45 years at the start of GT, but 53 years mentally.

Also.. a year happens during GT, but goku gets younger so we don't know how old is he in the end. I assume it will be either 12 (beggining of DB), or 16 like at the end of Piccolo saga.

It is very likely that the Perfect Files had it wrong with the 5 years between Z and GT. I mean, if it were true, Pan would've been 9 years old. Never mind that she just doesn't look it, she's dating some boy at the beginning of GT. Not a regular thing for a 9-year old to do is it?

Well, DB universe is far from normal, who knows if that's a normal behavior there.....
And personally, pan looks more like a 9 year old than a 14 year old....

Anyway, the chronology table from the perfect files list the 789 year several times, so I don't think it's an error.

the 789 says that goku, pan and trunks start the space trip (I really don't understand the last kanji's but more or less that's what it says)

the previous date, 780 is just pan's birtday, and 779 is Bra's birthday.

The main timeline from Daizenshu 7 is translated to french. But it has several errors here and there. Like saying that Goku's mother died, instead of saying it was actually chichi's mother who died, or the Pan and Bra birthdays are swaped...

the perfect files one I haven't seen it translated, but it doesn't tell that much anyway. It just has the relevant dates for GT, like some of the tsufuru and saiyan dates.

So, she's dating, so what? I could have had my first girlfriend at 9, if I'd asked. And Pan looks more 9/10 than she does 14/15. Compare Pan to Gohan from the Cell Games. Nearly the same height. And no where near Gohan's height from the Buu saga (who's age she'd nearly match at the end of GT if she did start off as 14). Goku's just a midget as a kid. 7 year old Goten is the same height as 12 year old Goku.

GT was 5 years after Z, plain and simple, despite Toei's various descrepencies. Things like with Bra. And no, Bra's clothes aren't the issue (she's related to Bulma and we all know what she was like as a kid), it's her driving (and the guys that hit on her) that are the issue. Goten and Trunks are also clearly not 27/28 and 28/29.

As for Vegeta, he's born in 732 and Z ends in 784, thus he's 52, plus 2 years of RoSaT, making him 54 at the end. Meanwhile Goku's born in 737 thus making him 47, minus a year dead, plus a year in the RoSaT, minus another 7 dead, making him 40.

Well, I've got the full thing in a text file. I think I swiped it from Greg's site some time back. And TripleRach has it all translated on her site.

Hell no, they made all the women look like crap. They even made 18 look bad, and that takes some serious effort to achieve.

Speaking of this, did anybody besides me find it interesting that Vegeta sounded like a 30-year-old even as a child in the Japanese version of the Bardock special? Kinda makes it seem as if maybe all Saiyans have weird voice traits. The males of the Son family all sound like children even as adults. Vegeta sounded like an adult even as a child.

I doubt it was anything intentional, but its still interesting.
