Worst Fanfic/Manga you ever read?

Since everybody's pretty much united on which are the worst fics, what say we include fics we simply dislike as well?

I get rather irritated at fics like "Almost Time", despite the quality of writing and the fairly original ideas (some of them, anyway), because it's basically the opposite of the High School fics - spinning DB into something way, way, way more complex and fantastical than it is.

Good God...that's why DB fan fics should keep away from romance that is not canon.

Sorry everybody, I know this post has not been active for 4 days, but I have to share my awe at the fanfic I have just seen... It isn't alternate universe it's just plain crazy.

Goku gets a job as an abortion doctor

Usually I wouldn't flatter the author with a link, but this is just plain spooky! and absolute crap! I don't think I have ever read a fanfic with such bad grammer, punctuation and well everything!

One of the worst fanfics EVER!!

Goku would NEVER apply for an abortion doctor, and if he did, he would have had an older doctor teach him how to preform abortions.

So that fic was pointless.

That's right, High school bullshit, even a female type person would probably punch the author, not for the bad story telling, but the spelling, grammar and nonsensical phrases.

These are the stupidest opening for a DBZ fanfic though...

I actually think Fanfics are the worst medium of expressing yourself ever though...
Though I would gladly set up a joke account and write stupid fanfics...

Hey, the PHD thing in the Goku Abortion Doctor was actually funny. Otherwise it was kinda boring.

Not really. Like with everything in the world most of them are bad, but there's a lot of good stuff too. Your comment is like saying all fanart is bad because you've seen one too many tracings on looseleaf.

It's some bad cross over Idea using lines from the show.

I want to write bad fanfics, I don't know why, but after looking over ff.net I've come to believe that some people write bad fanfics on purpose.

Thats why I don't like fan-fics, people more often than not, let their love of other shows, contaminate their stories, whether it be a simple crossover fic, or just a story with more scientific exposition than Star Trek, a lot of people can write good stories in the Dragonball universe, but very few people seem to be able to preserve the "feel" of Dragonball.

Well I won't give out the title or author's pseudonym but, the plot basically consist of Vegeta being driven to insanity by the grief of losing Bulma who dies of old age. He keeps her body around for weeks until Trunks, makes him except the fact that she's dead not sick. After being forced to give her corpse up, he starts to obsess over Bura, seeing her as Bulma in his mind, she gets raped multiple time. It was well written in terms of grammar spelling, and sentence structure but, the subject matter is just sickening. If you want to be so dramatic and, morbid then don't right DB fiction, write an original novel, don't ruin other people's characters that were never intended to be used in such a ghastly way.

The worst fanfic I read was like all these romantic linkings between Bulma and Vegeta or Chi-Chi and Goku. When I was a kid, I'd expect to read something interesting and bam, it's a romance novel. That's why love and romance doesn't fit into Dragon Ball Z. It makes no sense in that world.

Hmm I disagree, don't get me wrong for a long time it mystified me why a great majority of DB/Z related fiction, lacked any kind of fighting at all. I do wish more people would focus on writing interesting fight scenes and such but, then I came to the realization as to why most fanfics turn out being romance, besides the fact the most fanfiction is written by girls that is.

Basically it's the fact that you have couples who are married with children and there is very little if any romance. It doesn't fit "real world logic" because the couples do seem to be happy together, but long term relations require bonding, you need to work on them keep the romance alive. In real life I think Chichi might have left Goku a long time ago. Why would Bulma put a with a smoocher who lives off her money, and is cold and distant most times, or very rude to her otherwise? Makes you think there's has to be erm...."compensation" somewhere. The lack of romance makes a lot of people want to imagine what these people are like in intimate moments. What most fanfic authors fail to do, is to manage to do it in a way that's still in character.

The lack of romance makes a lot of people want to imagine what these people are like in intimate moments. What most fanfic authors fail to do, is to manage to do it in a way that's still in character.

Because Goku and Vegeta's characters are nigh incompatible with romance. Goku's damn near asexual and Vegeta's idea of romance is "not banging you over the corpses of your family that he's killed".
