Next Double Feature to be Movies 7 & 9 (And GT Season 2)

What the fuck? What the fucking fuck!? Well, it's makes sense, a triple feature for Movies 7/10/11. I guess that means one less release since we were anticipating Wrath/Legacy to be fused.

Still, fuck. I wanted them all in order too, bastards.

Personally I was hoping 13 would get coupled with the new special. Oh well. UNrealistic dream has been crushed.

Maybe it'll get paired with the OVA, who knows?

Huh? I was talking about the Brolly movies. I wanted to have the original Japanese music in the dub. The Brolly movies (2-pack) BlueRay only has the dub music.

That's what I mean. The Double Features have been in the habit of pairing the dub with the original score; all of them, one right after the other. The movies themselves may have been whacked out of order now, but I don't see why you wouldn't still get your Japanese BGM /w dub combo eventually . . .

Oh wow, not only is GT Season Two's cover what I predicted, but so is the deal with the movies. Numbers 7 and 9 packaged together. I'm surprised; I'm usually wrong about these kind of things. o_O Now let's see if the second half comes true and they put out a Broly "Triple Feature." Then Fusion Reborn and Wrath of the Dragon together. Better to lump three together than end up with one dangling on it's own at the end, I guess.

Cover art is a little "WTF"-inducing, but I've got no problems with it. Vegeta was a major figure in both movies, after all.

EDIT: At the same time, I am a little bit disappointed that Movie 8's been delayed because of it. I like that one a lot, and I'm looking forward to having the good dub of it with the original music.

Well, yea... "eventually". I guess I just thought it would be on the next double feature. Stupid me thinking movie 7 would come right after movie 6.

But, yea you're right. FUNimation is going to be releasing these movies over and over again in different ways at different times in any popular format that is available. I just have to wait.

I think if\when FUNimation gets there hands on that new special, they aren't going to throw it together with anything. They will probley just have a regular DVD release and charge like $19.99 for somthing that is almost the length of one episode. They know fans will eat up anything new. Hell, fans have been eating up anything old over and over again.

And they will continue to do so. That's why, when it comes to the new special, I'm certain that "if" doesn't qualify-- it's merely a matter of "when". FUNimation will release as much of DragonBall as they can as many times as they can until we're all dead.

This is why I refuse to purchase the 'Double Features' DVDs. The covers are lackluster as hell, and now they pull this little out-of-order fiasco. Lame. I'm definitely looking forward to picking up the GT sets though.

I would hardly call this a "fiasco." It's a smart marketing move, having the Broli movies packed together. Like I said earlier, it's not like the movies are supposed to be watched one after the other (like the TV series). They're their own little things. Sure, if movie 2 and movie 13 were packaged together, you might have a point, but...

Agreed. Besides, shouldn't things like the actual content and quality of the movies themselves be what's really important? It's certainly your choice, but I can't believe anyone would not buy such a great release only because they don't like the casing.

Like the saying goes, "don't judge a DVD by its cover."

I don't like having the movies rearranged this way, but at the same time I really don't see what other option they possibly could have had. In a way, it's lucky (for FUNimation especially) that the Broli movies amount to an odd number-- if there's simply no choice but to do some rearranging, then those are the ones it makes sense to package together.

For all our bitching, I don't think that anyone here would want to buy a Double Feature that consists of only Movie 13.

SSJ2 Gohan is still on the cover of the Double Feature, just in the BG though. And I've never really had a problem with the Season Set choices up till the recent Goku/Piccolo covers, but something just dont look right about that GT Season 2 choice.

Well, what would you have on Season 2 then?

Having SSJ4 Gogeta on the cover dont bother me, its just that specific picture doesnt look right with it for some reason. Looks unnatural to me.

Some people like sexy covers, or even just decent ones. I'd never let a cover prejudice me against the CONTENT of something I like to the point of non-purchase, but I'll admit that some covers for the films and series I buy and own could stand to look better.

It's not a crime to wish for nice things.
