Yeah, the Polish manga also uses "Adjutant".

Not really...he's also called Black Hosa in the anime, it's just that it's not his actual rank. Hosa only means "assistant" or something along those lines, it's not actually a rank of any kind. His rank is Sanbou, which is basically the exact same thing as Adjutant, except that in Japanese the actual rank of Adjutant is Fukkan (副官).

It's completely understandable that everybody calls him Adjutant Black, since that's basically exactly what he is. But just for the record, his rank is definately not hosa (since that's not even a rank). Whether you want to call him Staff Officer Black, or Adjutant Black, his rank is definately Black Sanbou.
