This would be an awsome new section for Daizenshuu Ex, You could have the refrence's in two sections, American shows & Japanese shows. It would be really fun to look at, and be the first of its kind.

Actually, it's the 'Nabehameha', the ultimate attack created by Nabeshin ;)

Also, Nabeshin powers up to SSJ at one point (Super Afro-jin? ;p) to unleash Pedro's...err, Afro powers.

God, how I love that show ;)

I'm sure Yuji Naka (or whoever) took this from dragon ball, but I seriously don't know which one came first. Does anyone know? O_O
Damn. You beat me to it! Oh well.

I guess the whole Neko Majin thing is a reference/parody of Dragon Ball. I can't really think of anything else.

Ah, well that makes sense. In Excel Saga, at least. :)

Yeah, I made a character who did the Kamehameha hand motions on Wrestlemania 2000. At the time I was thinking of it as a faux hadoken. My then 8 year-old cousin saw him win one time and asked me, "Why is he doing a kamehameha?"

I put that as a taunt on my Colonel Sanders character.

One I just remembered was when I was watching TV with my 11 year-old stepbrother. On a recent ep of Power Rangers, the red ranger remembered something told to him, and he started to clench his fists and yell in a very DBZ-like manner to give him strength. He then gets a pretty funky battle armor.

Anyone notice the similarities between Sonic and Dragon Ball?

The Archie comics also had a Monkey King in the stories as well!

Also, while checking stuff about the Dr. Slump remakes, I saw one picture of Arale putting the final Dragonball volume in the real machine (but I don't know what happened next)!

If this is necro-posting, then sorry!

In the Transformers Energon series, the special episode for the 500th produced TF episode, shows these two Autobots and Decepticons trying to power-linx (combine) but no good results in the end! After that, a small break-time image of those two Deceptacons doing the Fusion Dance! Seemed silly and funny at the same time!

There has been a counter argument for this. First of all remember that seven is considered to be a lucky number, and some things come in sevens (e.g. the colours of a rainbow. Infact I once heard that they made up the seventh colour - Indago just so they could say there is seven colours on it), and bare in mind that each emerald has a different colour, so it could actually be making reference to a rainbow rather than DBZ.

Also there is the "Golden Warrior" in Japanise mythology which I don't really know much about. All I do know is that it's someone who gains the kind of power ups Goku and Sonic enjoy in their super form and is gold. Some people say that Sega was making reference to that (simular to Mr. Toriyama) rather than DBZ. However it has been said that one of Sega's creator's is a/was a DBZ fan at the time, so if could be a reference to DBZ as you said.

Dragon Ball Arena has a page for DBZ references in other manga, some of which has been said here.

I believe that the creators of Sonic said they made Super Sonic in homage of DB or something like that

Here's the pic that I got off a video clip from Transfandom.com and Fantfan.jp on the "Fusion Dancing" Transformers!

Watch Japanese TV for one day.

You'll catch enough to make you sick.

Some people say that Hak Foo from "Jackie Chan Adventures" is a parody of Dragon Ball characters.

Has anyone seen Megahakougekimatouden Z ? an old manga.

I could have just thrown up at how many references to DBZ there were. The main character Zoshu was a Super Craiyon and he knew Kamehameha, which he used to kill some guy called Shyrrillin. Mind i never read the manga, i just watched it at a hotel in japan.
The flashing lights where endless and i almost had a seizure. :(

Plus the storyline was naff, in this weird language japanesian or something.
Its all fun and games untill somebody loses an eye

Could you give some examples?
You'll be watching a group of tarento talking about embarassing moments and practicing Kame Hame Ha in the bath tub is sure to come up.

On a karaoke taikai, someone always gets stuck with the Dragon Ball theme.

For almost no reason people will suddenly start shooting fake Kame Hame Ha. I have video of this btw.

I've even seen DB trivia on Spring of Trivia.

The second Wedding Peach omake has a spoof attack of Angel Daisy's called the Kamekamekame, which is a paradoy of the kamehamehame, complete with the exact same body position, that shoots out a turtle.
