But a quick question as well, did Yamamoto work on any of the images songs? If so...
The beginning of "Hey you, crasher" from Hit 16 and the 4th Complete Song Collection set, sounds JUST LIKE the beginning of "Parasite" by KISS.
Here's the KISS song:

Yeah they are very similar, but that song has nothing to do with Yamamoto.

Which track are you talking about? I want to know it because "Man called C" is one of my favorite pieces composed by Yamamoto.

At 2:05 of "Man called C" sounds like something Spiderman would have. I swear I've heard it in Spiderman before.

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"

Yamamoto is listed as an arranger on Kageyama's new album. It's somewhat good to know that he is still working.

I listened to the soundtrack CD and found nothing.

Not sure if this is accepted here, but don't want to open a topic so here goes, is Tenkaichi 3 Soundtrack Yamamoto's weakest work?
I generally like all Yamamoto music, but Tenkaichi 3 was just awful to the point of having to mute it.
BT2's music far better than the third, and even the first.

BT3's music wasn't done by Yamamoto. Its soundtrack was composed by Toshiyuki Kishi, Raging Blast's composer. And BT2's was done by, if I understood the in-game credits correctly, various teams of other composers doing different sections of the soundtrack.

Damn Wikipedia and the mis-informative websites of the internet led to believe me it was Yamamoto, now it makes sense why it was changed.
Tenkaichi 2 was done by various composers? That's definitely why it's so awesome!
Thank you very much for this info, Sora!

Yeah they are nearly identical. I did know that he had took something from the Matrix because he mentioned it as one of the movies that inspired him in one of the articles related to Budokai 1 on his old website. Now I see what it was.

^ Holy crap, how have I not noticed that before? Well, Steve Lukather didn't seem to mind, apparently.

I had forgotten that Steve Lukather performed the guitar for the Budokai BGMs. Well, I guess we can confirm that this one isn't a ripoff then.
I wonder if any other Toto songs were lent as inspiration for any of the other Budokai songs.

I don't recall any specific songs jumping out at me, but some of the songs
do sound so much like Kingdom of Desire-era Toto that it makes me wonder if Lukather lent a hand in writing them--if not Mike Porcaro and Simon Philips, who
also played on the soundtrack according to the Toto website. "Big Opportunity" and "Running to Victory" in particular sound like they may as well just be Toto jamming.
EDIT: Aaaactually, after I realised that "Spirit Bomb" theme wasn't on the soundtrack, I went to YouTube to look at some of the other stuff that was left off.
0:31 in this song resembles the main riff from
Stranger In Town. Given that Yamamoto's "inspiration" tends to be a bit more blatant, though, this one might be a coincidence.

Spooky resemblance! I can't believe it!
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada
