I couldn't salvage the torn off part, so maybe I'll use a marker...? I wonder how that'll look.

O-O.. I've never had this problem at all, even when I purchased in stores!

My DBOX3 should arrive today, hopefully before I go to work!

linkdude20002001 that's happend to me when I've bought other stuff. Hot water usually gets it off (don't put the Dragon Box in hot water!). Try putting a sponge in hot water, drain all the water from it and place it on the paper. If you push down on the paper for about one minute and then try peeling it off it might come off. Be careful not to damage the DBox though! :)

Well, the thing is, when I took off the tape, it ripped off the yellow part of the Dragon Box. Though, maybe the hot water trick would've helped get the tape off without ripping the box. I'll try that if the next set has tape too.

Damn, it actually ripped off the yellow, that must of been sticky tape. Yeah if it happens again try that and it should work. :)

Geez, I'd consider sending that stuff back. Tape? Seriously? Mine was the same glue as usual. And, sigh, I finally took the flyers off of all three of them after meticulously caring for them because the glue was starting to discolor the paper.

I would return it. When I opened mine, I felt a bump, and was like, "What the fuck"?, and it was just the glue, Came off normally like the other 2.

I really would consider sending that back.

Mine just came.. and fuck they used tape to hold the bloody "The Dragon Box is here" oh well.. just filled the areas it ripped with yellow marker..actually it looks good.
Glad they actually used the stock from the Dragon Book Volume 1 as the cover art for Box 3.

Also.. they just HAD to end it where the androids appear..now I gotta wait 3 months><

Makes a great cliffhanger, though....

But, geez, what is with them and that stupid tape?! Has anyone who's received a box with tape been able to successfully remove it without damaging it? I am so glad I didn't have that problem. What were they thinking?

It ripped where the areas don't matter, I'd just take a marker and fill it in and let it dry and repeat, it looks just as good..depending on what areas it ripped.

Episode 126 should have begun box 4.. and box 4 is going to end in even bigger cliffhanger..the cell games><

Wish I'd read this topic before I received mine - it arrived today and I tried removing the flyer from the back as usual... and it ripped. Seems I got one of the copies that's using extra-sticky tape instead of the inoffensive adhesive blob. = ( Not too big an area's ripped, so it's only a mild annoyance, but I've fired off an email to RightStuf's customer support to see if they can recommend me any possible ways of rectifying it. Not that I'm holding out much hope, but it can't hurt to try.

And if not.. well, either way, the discs are the important thing. = D Unlike the second box, I've had to wait a good few months for this one - I had the first box for Christmas, so the wait was reduced, but this one's been a long time coming. = ) Is it wrong that I'm squeeing over the prospect of seeing, of all things, the super-dragged-out Freeza battle, the Garlic Jr. filler, and the Driving Test episode? XD

I don't feel like making a thread for this but, y'know what'd be neat? If one of the Dragonbox volumes had a booklet that showcased the covers for the Dragonbox singles.

I just felt like getting that out there. Sorry.

That's a cool idea, I'd love it they have an at least two extras discs in the last set instead of another dragon book, if they use all the info in 6 sets...

Considering that each box will at least have to have the episodic "Perfect Guide," I don't see a DBox being bookless. But I'd still love to have the artwork. But if I had to choose between that or an extra disc with, say, the TV specials and other original DBox extras, I'd have to go with the latter.

Ah right, the guide slipped from my mind, maybe it could be in a sleeve in the dragon book...?

These are so nice looking. I wish I liked the anime more so I'd have a reason to buy these outside the packaging.

I got mine yesterday; it had the tape too and bits of the image tore off. But, I figure, when I have them all together that side will be sandwiched up against Box 4 anyway...

Well thats weird.. I wonder why FUNi would use tape? Such a lazy thing to do. This is why I buy from Best Buy for the Dragon Boxes, i'll be checking the back to make sure it isn't tape when I get mine.

If we get the DBox movies, they wouldn't have to really use one disc per movie and the DBox Movies book would be a bit abridged since it probably only includes the DBZ movies. So, another little book showcasing Singles DVD art or whatever would fit.

Of course, all the other extras would be cool, too, but so many of them seem so Japan-specific that I'm not sure they're planning on it. FUNimation never seemed to big on extras.
