Hell yea dude me too, except it was DBZ, and it was more like around 1998-1999. I remember going to day-care in the mornings, where they would bus us to school, and some kid was talking to me about it. He was like, "That three-eyed guy shot that beam at the big bald guy", and I was like, "yea, it was called 'Tien goes all out!'". lol those were the days.
I think the biggest mystery in all this is what will become of the two specials and the OVA. Aside from whether or not anything will be released and what that will be, I feel that where, when, and
if we ever get these two specials and OVA in DBox form, is the enigma of this whole announcement.
I mean, I'm willing to bet that a movie DBox would be the easiest for FUNimation to release, even if they still need to acquire the 4 DB movies, but most of the fans (me included) are voting for the original Dragon Ball, so with any luck, that's what we'll get. Depending on how those sell, and how many fans take this survey, the Movies would still most likely be released in some shape or form since they already freakin' have the 13 Z films. My point is; GT may not be worth getting the rights for. The fans want Dragon Ball. They already have the 13 Z movies.
If they honestly wish to release more Dragon Boxes based on how this survey does, Dragon Ball would most likely be first ( If they live up to their word that is, and actually give the fans what they want, and not just take the easy way out and release just the Z movies, which is something I can honestly see happening.), so then why not just release the damn movies you already have, and hell if the Dragon Ball Boxes sell well, which they most definitely will, get the last 4 DB movies to add to the Movie box that you could release at any time.
What will become of the aforementioned specials and OVA, will most likely never be known by the U.S. fandom...now, or possibly then...
