Not buying it either. There's nothing on it to gauge my interest.

There are times when she does. Especially when Goku's at SS4 in GT.

I'd have to see a clip, but nothing jumps to mind.

Watch the start when Goku speaks before the fight and near the end when he says his win quote. He sort of sounds like a creepy old Fortuneteller.

NO disrespect but arn't you deaf? How would a change in audio affect your dvd choice? Unless you mean extras and quality.

To be fair. GT is where she began losing her touch. She's is still an awesome voice actor but around the time DBGT was made she began aging so that's expected. Also that sound nothing like a creepy old fortuneteller. She made SSJ4 Goku win quote quiet and soft spoken. Regardless of what SSJ4 Goku said in that quote.

Well regardless of anything she never sounded like a man while voicing Goku and yet fans of the Japanese version still complain that Nadolny's Gohan doesn't sound like an average kid of his age. At least Nadolny's Gohan and Kid Goku actually sound like male characters.

She doesn't make Goku sound like a male nor a female. He sounds like a pure hearten organism who's very hickey due to him being naive

Masako Nozawa has never "lost her touch".

He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Well she aged and her voice somewhat got less awesome compare to her earlier work. Even through sometimes even with he aged voice she tops herself.

Japanese Z:

Japanese Kai:

Her scream was better in Jap Kai. So she still got the touch even with age. Sometimes she loses it for 3 seconds but then she regains it. So she's like an old person who forgets but remembers

ABED wrote:Nadolny didn't have a few problems she had a few MAJOR problems, and sounding like she's trying too hard is one of them. Even on her best day, she's not that good an actress. Sounding more natural is very important. Nadolny's inflections aren't personality, it's her trying to sound happy and care free, but it just comes off as irritating, not charming, and her Goku voice sounds like sandpaper. To be charming, she would have to be pleasing to the ear, and she's not to mine.
I agree. The point is not that her voice sounds too deep, it's that her acting is bad and very forced-sounding. (Although...I feel like a jerk for saying that.)

Anyway, I will buy the set if I have the money. I hope it stays in print long enough for me to get one.

The term was being used as an abbreviation (Jap.) since it wasn't being used to refer to the people of Japan, but rather the language.

I was saying Jap not "Jap". The short version of the language not the term for Japanese people. If I was using "Jap" then it would make no sense. That would mean Japanese People Z.

I know the intention, but the term is still offensive.

If I say the "JAP people" it's offensive. If I'm using a abbreviation of the language name it's really not offensive. We can't use JPN because that's the abbreviation of the country not the language.

Then just spell out "Japanese". Surely it's not difficult for you, right? No matter how you look at it, it's just as offensive as, say, "nigger".

Except "Nigger" is only use n 1 context which is to offend. "Jap" wasn't originally offensive unlike "nigger". It began offensive in WW2. It is also used in 2 differ contexts. The offensive term "Jap" and the abbreviation of their language Jap. It's just a bad case of when two words are pronounced and sound the same way.

Is it really that hard to just type out 5 more letters? I know, once you write out "Jap" it's just so easy to quit. I mean you have to drag your fingers all the way to the "a" and then all the way back to the other side to hit the "n" and then what's this? You have to go all the way back to the side you were just at to hit "e"?! What the hell? Good thing the "s" is right under the "e" cause it's a round trip from then on out.
