I hope it follows the door BoG left open. Bring on the multiverse, please.

Super excited for this :D still can't believe it's real, this is amazing!

Let's hope it explores the 12 Universes BoG set up for us; it would be fitting to dedicate an arc to them, rather than a movie or two, to avoid it being rushed.

Whenever I get ill a huge DragonBall announcement is made. I need to get ill more often!. I'm very happy right now, my one hope for this new series is that it focuses on the 12 universes Beerus mentioned in Battle of Gods. I never thought I'd see the day a new DragonBall anime would get announced though. The line from Dragon Soul sums up the series to a T. "Nothing ever dies, we will rise again". Lol.

So out of nowhere, we'll have new episodes of Dragon Ball to watch in a couple of months. Get to work, FUNimation!

What I like about this is that it's an original series being brought straight to anime format, so it doesn't need to wait however long to catch up with the manga or anything. It can tell us the story in however many episodes and we won't have to worry about terrible pacing / power ups for half an episode / episodes where they learn to drive (I actually loved that ep!) I hope it has the pace of Kai episodes. This doesn't need to be another 200 episode series.

Oooh? Is that a thing? I've never even heard of that concept. We sure would have come far if that became a thing.

But I just want to be able to watch the show as it airs! FUNimation has streaming rights for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, plus is simulcasting HUGE Toei licenses like One Piece and Sailor Moon Crystal (the last time I checked?). But it concerns me that they couldn't simulcast Kai.

This is more hyped than Revival of F,equal to BOGS
The 12 universes thing is what all fans want.
What will happen if they revive Cell?

I wonder if Sumitomo will return to compose the BGM? I'd assume so. What do you guys think about the possibility of it taking place before BoG? I personally can't see this, it'd be odd seeing Goku go back to using SS3, with Vegeta stuck with SS2.

With Toriyama at the helm, and not having to worry about drawing everything, he'll be able to focus on the Story more, which is great, meaning we get the same quality he's produced with BoG and "F".

A new enemy really excites me!. And like Chiquita, I hope we see more of Whis training the Saiyans!.

Heh. Throw in a few Marvel movies, and I'm close to that.

It's an amazing year to be a fan of that stuff. I'm still in shock at the latest DB news.

I can't even begin to speculate on possible stories.

YES!Wait, No! Or, still, YES!

I HOPE Toriyama won't betray my expectations(or if he will, he will do it like in the old times, not like with R[F].)

If they're going to do the 12 universes then this needs to be 200+ so nothing well be rushed.
No series immediately sets out to be 200+ episodes and that sort of note in an initial announcement is the easiest way to distinguish fake "OMG NEW SERIES" news from this. A new show will be given any number of episodes (usually 13 or 26) to prove it's worth keeping on a network financially, and then they go from there. Anime that are manga adaptations are a different ballgame because they're just cheap promotional material at the end of the day.

This is amazing news. I thought a new TV show with Toriyama writing it and producing it will never happen. I think if Toriyama writing it then it's likely going to be better then GT for sure. I would be worry if Toei did this own their own since they hardly get DBZ right on their own 90% of the time in my opinion.

I think for Kai it was becuase of the different versions. Anyway yeah they have simuldubbed several shows already, like Death Parade, Assassination Classroom and many more.

Simuldubs are a very recent concept, and FUNimation does a few already. With the popularity of Dragon Ball (especially the English dub), it seems like a perfect candidate for it.

I agree that the lack of a Kai simulcast is worrisome, but on the other hand, Resurrection F's release style seems much more hopeful.

Sailor Moon Crystal is specifically an internet series meant to be viewed worldwide, by the way. It only started airing on television a few weeks ago. One Piece is a big deal though.

Do you guys think they will reuse some concepts from GT and DBO/XV?
Honestly if Toriyama made his own rendition of SSJ4, maybe by mixing it with SSJG (so the red fur would finally make fucking sense) i would squeal like a fucking girl.

Too bad i have a feeling it will never happen...

It probably will be him.

Personally, I wish they could get him or someone else to compose a new score that utilizes some of Kikuchi's material for scenes and situations when it's appropriate. Despite DBZ being a long-running series and not a movie, there are a number of leitmotifs that were established in the original score that reoccurred in different tracks and had several renditions. Referencing certain old themes like the Super Saiyan material(which Kikuchi returned to A LOT during the show and some movies) would help to give some continuity to the new musical score.

With that said, it'll probably sound entirely new. If Sumitomo returns, he'll probably only reference his own material from the recent films and DBZ Buu Kai.

Why do people want GT remade so badly? Why can't have new and original stuff for once. Sometimes I feel like DBZ fans like the same old thing and hate on anything that is new. The series gets boring if they always rehash and do the same things over again.

Mixed feelings. On the one hand, new Dragon Ball. On the other, floods of bullshit false news, dumb theories, and the idea that GT will somehow matter (it won't).

I wish the Kanzenshuu staff all the luck in the world in keeping up with this. Also hope the website doesn't crash.

Please don't get sumitomo for the music please get Yoshihisa Hirano or Shiroh Sagisu please please please.
What's wrong wit sumitomo he proved in bog that he can do great music with a decent budget. You shouldn't judge him off of his kai work since he had nothing to work with
