This is more general, not exclusive to Dragon Ball.

It really bugs in the wrong way how fans over-misuse the word Retcon as a way to support their argument of "bad writing" or that said writing device is inhierently tied with bad writing.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Now to let out my steam:

1. People who give Super a pass for its objectively bad art and animation that it has at times.

2. People who shit on Super even when it executes a scene well.

3. People who say they love Dragon Ball when they choose not to watch the original Dragon Ball anime and only watch Z.

4. Dub fans who say that everyone in the Japanese version sounds the same, Goku sounds too girly, music sucks, etc.

5. Sub fans who say that everyone in the original dub sucks (no nuance, they all just sucked), the music is shit (saying it doesn't fit DB is different than saying it's bad), etc.

6. Add to the above, people who get offended when people pronounce it Sai-yan (like Geekdom). AND, people who rub their noses at people who pronounce it Say-in. My mom and brother pronounce my name differently; it's not that big of a deal.

7. Broly is inside Magetta, Broly is Whis's master (actual thing I've heard), Broly is the strongest character ever even though he was beaten by the power of a few half-dead Super Saiyan 1s.

8. Youtubers who put out videos with false information with click-baity thumbnails. You know who they are.

9. The fact that Gaffer Tape's "Dragon Ball Dissection" doesn't have a lot more views (I love it).

10. People who say that Naruto is better than Dragon Ball :) (I kid, I kid)

I've noticed in Super that the aura sound effects don't match the correct SSJ form.
SSJ2 aura had a sort of crackle to it.

The sound effects are being done by someone else due to the original one (he worked on everything from DB to RF) working on One Piece now.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Ah, is that so? Sorry, I never knew haha. That sort of explains it then.

Probably true :P
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

"It's the new generation's turn. Goku, etc. should pass the torch."
No they shouldn't.

The sub fans who blow Goku's original character out of proportion and the dub fans who act like he's Superman. No, he's not that much of a hero in personality, but he's also not a complete bastard!
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:

No for several reasons.
1 - Goku is the icon.
2 - Goku's still in his prime.
3 - Goku didn't wait for someone to pass him the torch, he took it.
4 - Muten Roshi was hundreds of years old before he retired for good, whereas Goku isn't even middle aged.
5 - I haven't seen a series that changed main characters after an extended period and the story was better. Even in Creed, Adonis's story isn't as interesting as Rocky's.
6 - It's fictional, Toriyama is under no obligation to pass the torch from one generation to the next.

-Super being about just Goku and Vegeta.
-Complaining about the animation when Super is being made weekly and without the budget of the films.

1-That doesn't mean he can't take a step back
2-Same as above
3-True
4-Goku isn't immortal like Roshi (kinda) is
5-Never said Goku would be written off / pushed completely aside either. (Pre-Vegito Buu Saga is a good example)
6-Never said he was??

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is the obvious example. Former JoJo's are active/developed in later parts even while a new protagonist leads the story.

Roshi not stepping down wasn't a matter of his immortality, it was a matter of no one being stronger than him until Goku's generation. The pre-Vegito Buu arc material suffers when Goku or Vegeta aren't around.
"never said he was" Never claimed you did and the point still stands.

What exactly is better about the new generation taking over?

Never saw it, but can't speak to it. How often are main characters changed?

You can also add YuGiOh, Gundam and Star Trek.

I wouldn't include Trek as the original is still the best series. Each Gundam series only lasts 50 episodes. That's not what I would call a long run. A long run is at least 2 or 3 years with the same characters.

I don't get it, why after all this time do you want Gohan and Goten and even Uub to take over? What would be so much better with them instead of Goku and Vegeta?

Highly debatable. You will come across a lot of Star Trek fans who think that The Next Generation was better than the original 1966 series.

Because there is nothing to say that Gohan, Goten and/or Oob couldn't lead or carry the show. Hell, Oob is essentially a blank slate, so you could do anything with that character. It's practically the same deal with Goten, too. It all comes down to having proper writing and direction behind the new cast. It may be a bold move to replace an iconic character/cast with a new cast, but it has been done in the past and has been done very well.

This is more of a general thing on YouTube, but clickbaiters spreading false information throughout the fanbase.
