He kept Daimao's memories, but he has a different personality. So basically it depends on if you think memories or personality are what make a person an individual.

He has a SLIGHTLY different personality that becomes more pronounced as time goes on, but it's also more than that. He shares the link to Kami. Both die if one of them dies. And yes, memories are a lot of what makes us who we are.

Every time someone shows an evidence of Piccolo Jr and Daimao being the same, you say some excuse , it's hard to take you seriously.

By middle-ground I meant on a discussion level. At a certain point you have to realize that a debate isn't getting any ground on either side and you just have to agree to disagree. I mean there comes a time when people have to realize that not everything is an opinion? (And this isn’t directed at you). Piccolo jr is treated as both the son of Piccolo Daimao and is stated outright to be his reincarnation. Someone saying Piccolo jr isn’t the reincarnation of Daimao is just factually wrong.
