I don't get the point of that story. Some guy said something horrible. Am I supposed to be shocked? Stop watching dubs because ONE voice actor said something dickish?

His reaction to seeing her along with the marks on her arm?

What really provoked him to react like that to someone with scars on their arms?
Maybe the fact that she cut herself pissed him off? And maybe it reminded him of someone close to him that cuts themselves? Still not nice to say, but if he enjoyed talking to her, he must have a good reason for saying something like that. If it's true that is.

They don't
want to have to watch the season sets, though; they want to have the same video quality that we'll have in the Dragon Box.
Yeah thats pretty much how I feel anyway. If it was simply about the audio then the sub fans would probably just buy the Season sets themselves.

Why would there be anything wrong with the Dragon Box masters?
The colours got pretty worse than 20 years ago and Toei didn't fix them. You should read this tipic
Accuracy of the Dragonbox colors?
Toei officially acknowledged this problem.

They also made sure to note that while there are some errors, it's still the best print of DBZ available to purchase.

Nah, I don't really mind. Faulconer or not, I'm getting Dragonbox number 1. It's not to expensive, and it could be a great segway into watching original DBZ for me.

It's the best
now, though. I'm still waiting for Toei's HD-remastered DBoxes.
They did pretty good job on HD-remastered DVDs of Hokuto no Ken, except for a sound problem like DBoxGT...

So... went to comicon, and - though similar pictures have been seen - thought I'd show my DBox pictures.

Bird's eye view of the box's contents.
The booth was neat - the workers were all dressed up, most of them like FMA characters (they even had a workbench for the Winry!)

I'll be getting the Dragon Box, but I can't say that I would mind getting that giant poster as a bonus.

The case looked to be the size of the Chinatown knock-offs to me (folding out by four), but I may be mistaken.

You talking about the blue boxes with the yellow art on them?

No... Three is going to be two, it's just that the book is on top of the other one.

I was referring to the DragonBall ones over the Z ones, but I'd imagine it's the same layout.

So, there's one thick DVD case and the thin one is underneath the book in that picture. I see. So then maybe there is room for seven discs?

On an unrelated note, that story about Hebert broke my brain. I can't process why he (or anyone) would shift from "amicable conversation" to "total asshole" at the drop of a hat. There's usually SOME sort of intermediate stage. You were there, right? You saw this happen?

Very strange, indeed... the two were about equal in height with the book on top of the second pack, so it's definitely smaller.

Heh. I'm sure most people already know this, but I still find it worth noting that both the Vegeta picture on the Dragon Book, and the giant SSJ Son Goku on the wall at comic con are both taken directly from the cover of the Sega Saturn version of DBZ Legends.

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.
