6 posts down on the main page of his Facebook fan page wall, it's one of the comments. It'll be interesting to have an official voice actor post here.

And which characters have themes sung by their seiyuu in Japan? I'm curious as to know what to look forward to.

Whatshisface (Yes, I know it's Furuya Toru) signs Wolf Hurricane, which is Yamucha's image song.

Nozawa Masako sings Tenkaichi Gohan in the first Dragon Ball Z movie as well as the Dragon Ball insert song Son Goku Song and DBZ movie 2's Piccolo-san Daisuki.

Kohei Miyauchi, the original Kame Sennin, sings the Dragon Ball insert song Muten Roshi no Oshie.

A lot of the seiyuu have also sung in character on cd collections and the like. Goku, Vegeta, Kame Sennin, Kuririn, Bulma, Gohan and Chichi in two duets, North Kaio... There are probably others, but they're the ones that come to mind straight away.

Wow. It seems like Sean Schemmel has his crosshairs set on penguintruth!

That'll be interesting to see go down...

Sprite Satan's Sean Schemmel Sprediction: Everyone will try to talk to Sean Schemmel. He will leave and abandon the account, his inbox full of the following messages...

"Dude, you rock! Can I have free stuff?"

"Do you need a hanger on? I've been looking for someone to boss me around."

"Isn't the Kuichi score the best?"

"Isn't the Falcouner score the best?"

"Alec! Alec! Regarding that so-called "silent propulsion system" in "The Hunt For Red October." I printed out a list of technical errors which I think you'd enjoy discussing!"

"Every line you ever uttered was shit."

"Every line you ever uttered was gold."

"Don't you hate fanboys (but I am not one)?"

"In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib twice in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of a magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder."

Anyway, it's quite clear that Sean Schemmel, my <3favourite<3 voice actor ever, is only singing up to compliment me on my blog.

Yes, and I saw your post recently about having more free time. I expect to see that red marker more often, sir! ^_~

Folks, everyone is absolutely entitled to their own opinions, and they are more than welcome to use any outlet to express (or respond to/with) those feelings that they choose -- whether that be Twitter, a personal blog, Facebook, this forum, some other forum, etc. Of course, it makes the most logical sense that if you are going to use an outlet that has any kind of notoriety or popularity, you really back up and hold dearly those opinions, and be ready to explain them if and when challenged.

Long story short, this here is a thread about DragonBall Kai (specifically about its dub from FUNimation). That's what I expect to see conversation about! Be "super shonen" and have a good time. That's all there is to it.

I'd delete my post if I could but I can't so I won't. It wasn't very on-topicy at all. Shame = me.

I'm not too sure why people are getting worked up over the censorship for the broadcast versions (which is major hypocrisy I know, considering I made a big spiel about Dragon Ball censorship in a manga thread but this is a little different). Well, I do know why. But, like, the uncut alternative, in both languages, is available from pretty much day zero in this case.

Actually, I'm considering giving the dub another try when I get Kai. It's not like I haven't given it a shot on the Dragon Boxes or the orange bricks but, yeah, why not, eh? I probably won't stick with it, but there you go.

I've noticed a growing need for it, m'self. There's posts where I just wanna red red red the shit into something proper, and I find myself waiting for the mods to come running in with their red markers. O_o

Hope you enjoy it here on the daizex forums, Mr. Schemmel!

I think the settings on the inbox can be adjusted (?) if he wants to avoid getting bombarded with pm's. I'm not completely sure though.
On hiatus.

Aw, why can't Colleen Clinkenbeard or Monica Rial sign up, instead? I'll even settle for Sonny Strait. Hell, I'll settle for Cynthia Cranz.

Oh, speaking of which, I should probably let you guys know this now.

Colleen is gonna be at Phoenix Cactus Comic Con next month, and I'm getting a press pass (I'm a correspondent for the One Piece Podcast) and I'm trying to get it set up so I can interview her (but nothing is set in stone just yet)

Obviously since the interview will be for the One Piece podcast, the questions will be 95% One Piece, but If we have some extra time and she doesn't mind, I'll try to ask some Questions about Kai. Does anyone have anything they wana know? (Though, again, One Piece podcast so I can't guarantee your Dragon Ball Question will be answered)

Well, start insulting them for no reason, and then maybe they will.

Ask how long into Kai she's slated to voice Gohan at this point. All the way up through the Cell Games, at least? Or will she even continue to voice him into the Boo era? It's doubtful she even knows the plan that far if there is one, but it's worth asking.

I did get an e-mail from Wendee Lee once because I said I disliked her singing as Haruhi in the Haruhi dub. Which is funny because I love Wendee Lee's work, always talk about how I love it, and the one time I said something negative I got her attention.

Also, I don't "insult" Sean Schemmel "for no reason", I criticize his lackluster Goku voice and lack of singing talent. Given his huge fanbase, you'd think he could get over a single detractor.

And also, perhaps what influenced her to not imitate the old dub voice? Was this new voice or Gohan something she did herself, or were there other influences?

It's not what you're doing, it's how you're doing it. I can't vouch for whether you intend it to be so, but 99% of your "criticism" of Sean comes of as extremely sarcastic and, quite frankly, insulting. At least, that's how it looks to me. There are nicer ways to word criticize to someone who is simply doing their job.
