I'm not mad, which is good. I don't think the story is anything great, but I don't expect that out of Dragon Ball exactly. I still think Blue Super Saiyajin is a little fan fic-y, as is Frieza's insane power-up (from what we know by now), but I'm actually glad Frieza gets close, but apparently not exactly on par with God's powers. It makes sense his new form saps his strength, as he never trained before, it makes sense he wouldn't know how to focus on that and instead just focused on raising his power mindlessly. I heard rumors he trains on a "million gravity room". That would be an explanation for his power up, which is all I ever wanted. The things I do not like right now is, I don't like the idea of Whis going out of his way to interfere in what I believe would be trivial affairs to him, seeing as he and Beerus oversee an entire universe. Also, I don't see how Goku didn't pass Beerus' power, as the non-perfected Super Saiyan God form still had Beerus fighting at 70%. Unless Beerus gets stronger in his sleep or something. I actually would be fine if that was his "mental training" Of course, most of this is my interpretations out of a lot of noise and not much confirmed info, but anyway. I'm sad apparently Frieza dies though, there was more potential in his revival than that.

The spoilers not making me mad is good, as I'll still see the movie and really judge after that.

I only became against this because the concept was practically shoved down my throat after some trailers, like it was a certainty. People wouldn't shut up about how this was for sure going to happen and that's the only way things should happen. Now it seems the truth is Vegeta could only beat a weakened Freeza spoon fed to him by Goku, and even then still lost.

Erm no.
Yeah, Toei's work will never be canon to manga. DBM is though.

Honestly, I would have been fine with Vegeta winning, if it weren't for this thread. But, damn it if they didn't make me revert to my loathing of the guy.

JSAT and BoG Vegeta are still cool, though.

Really? I mean Freeza has to blow up Earth as the only means to defeat Vegeta, seems pretty satisfying to me.
I've already saw some comments in facebook about Vegeta not killing Freeza. People are saying this movie is shit and Toriyama is a liar

What?
Only events which happen in manga, happen in manga. There is a manga by Toriyama called Jaco the Galactic Patrolman . Everything which happened in it, happened in Dragon Ball manga universe as well, including the extra chapter Dragon Ball Minus with Bardock and Gine. In DBZ anime universe though there is a different version of events with Bardock revenging his comrades being killed by Dodoria and Goku being sent to Earth as 3 years old kid. Hence why none of anime is canon to manga.

God Goku was only ever 60% of Beerus' full power (as Akira said Beerus is a 10 while Goku was a 6 meaning Beerus was likely at a 7 during their fight considering he used 70% of his strength). No way is mastering a form covering a gap that big. That gap is almost as big as the one between Whis and Beerus and we saw what Whis could do to Beerus in BoGs.

Anyway, hoping to see more of the other 12 universes if another movie is made. This one just felt like complete fanservice.

Well if what's being said is true that means that Freeza won and the only way to beat him was to cheat.

It's just gonna be so much fun seeing the fans colorful comments about how the Prince of all Saiyans still didn't have his day.

Oh. Yeah, that does make sense now that you say it. Also, I now remember Beerus at the end of BoG that he was "never really in threat". Seems like another thing I misinterpreted. And yes, this movie feels like fan service and nostalgia, but I'm fine with it, most DB fans are probably still watching and buying products out of nostalgia, so it makes sense. I do wish that thing about "all according to plan" is true, as it would be a fine cliffhanger.

Same. I liked JSAT and Battle of Gods Vegeta. Then when people just went on and on about Vegeta deserving this and that, how this is the only way the movie should go, how Toriyama is smart for having Vegeta do it, etc. After that I hoped he didn't get the kill so then all those people would be silenced. Best of all Vegeta only could tangle apparently with a weakened Freeza spoonfed by Goku. Not much of a win in my book.

Correct. Don't expect it for several hours. It could end up late EST, or even early morning EST.

Yeah just so those past comments of smugness can be put to rest. From the descriptions he got his moment which people should be happy enough for.
