Same. I liked JSAT and Battle of Gods Vegeta. Then when people just went on and on about Vegeta deserving this and that, how this is the only way the movie should go, how Toriyama is smart for having Vegeta do it, etc. After that I hoped he didn't get the kill so then all those people would be silenced. Best of all Vegeta only could tangle apparently with a weakened Freeza spoonfed by Goku. Not much of a win in my book.

Vegeta never won. He lost. Goku won with Vegeta and Whis' help. Going to win is not the same as winning. I could be dominating a UFC fight the entire time, but if someone manages to get a K.O. blow from out of nowhere, then I still lose despite if I was winning before that blow.

If anything, this should make Vegeta fans louder. The only people being silenced are the ones who've said that Goku's never beat a major villain. Lol.

Don't see how. They expected Vegeta to win by himself. That was what every comment around at least 3 popular areas were all saying. Instead he got his moments in the spotlight, but did not get what the people were saying would happen. The only louder I expect, is massive complaints.

Only events which happen in manga, happen in manga. There is a manga by Toriyama called Jaco the Galactic Patrolman . Everything which happened in it, happened in Dragon Ball manga universe as well, including the extra chapter Dragon Ball Minus with Bardock and Gine. In DBZ anime universe though there is a different version of events with Bardock revenging his comrades being killed by Dodoria and Goku being sent to Earth as 3 years old kid. Hence why none of anime is canon to manga.

I would say if Toriyama is writing a story that continues the story he already wrote then it's certainly canon. More so then GT or any of the TOEI movies, as he states as much and specifically sets the events between manga of the chapters. You can't really call it filler since it is from the head of Toriyama. It may not be in the manga but that doesn't meant its not canon.

That's the point, if Toriyama writes the new manga which contunues Dragon Ball manga, or even the Buu arc, then sure it is canon, but for me just some movie made by Toei, regardless from Toriyama's involvement, is not canon. All DBZ anime movies tend to use anime only things (such as amount of Piccolo's fingers, hair colours, etc), anime only characters and a lot of things exclusive only to anime. Battle of Gods and FnF are not exclusive in this matter. For me everything anime related is so called filler, while only the manga is the original story. The best thing to point out here would be Bardock and Gine. Gine doesn't exists in DBZ, Bardock was revenging his friends which don't exist in Dragon Ball Minus, and Goku was sent to Earth as an infant in DBZ, while he was sent to Earth as a 3 years old kid in DBZ. These are completely different universes in that way, with different backstories, and different pasts. And BoG and FnF are supposed to be a part of anime one (hence what press-releases and the names of the movies state), and a continuation of Buu arc in DBZ, hence why for me they are as canon, as every other movie and GT.

I am okay with that, we had BoG so an all action romp is a-ok with me. Hopefully the 3rd film balances it out. (assuming there is a 3rd on of course!)

One questions which bothers me... When did Vegeta have become a god? Have they done the ritual on him off-screen? If yes why not not for Gohan and Co as well?

Frieza did not only screw Vegeta but also Goku, sorbet had some kind of hax power in that ring making Vegeta move and kill Sorbet but the damage has been done making Goku lose.
