I guess that's true. But maybe not. Depends on if it's the sort of thing where Freeza just blew up the core like he did on Namek. Not a blast that Vegeta couldn't stop per se, but Freeza catching them off guard and just shooting a blast at the earth's core.dbzfan7 wrote:Vegeta dies via explosion or suffocation, so either way Freeza wins since he can survive in space, and Vegeta can not. Vegeta apparently couldn't stop Freeza's attack so he lost.bleed0range wrote:Really, if Vegeta was winning when Freeza blew the planet up he still loses because he wasn't going to beat Vegeta in the end.
My point is, in an actual one-on-one fight without any tricks Freeza wouldn't have defeated Vegeta (or so it sounds like). So that makes Freeza's victory low, means he couldn't have beat him in sheer power or fight ability. Just by blowing up the planet and using his age-old trick of "nay nay nay nay nay nayyyy I can breathe in space and YOUUU can't!!"

I wouldn't be as concerned if he hadn't given up most of his roles in the current Buu arc of Kai. Bobbidi is one thing, but when he stopped doing the voice of Dr. Brief (which is pretty much just Yanami's normal voice), I couldn't help but get a little worried about his health.Gyt Kaliba wrote:On the note of Yanami not being in the movie - it could simply be a case of Kaio-sama not being in the film, since prior to the extended version of Battle of Gods, that was his only role in the previous film - we didn't have narration until the Extended version. At least I certainly hope that's the only reason he's not in the movie.
Not to mention the fact that his character doesn't even appear in a flashback scene in the new Yatterman show...

Anyone who saw the movie can confirm whether blue hair is just SSJ version of God mode?

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
It's a bullshit power that may be unrelated to ki and more related to magic. That's as blunt as I can put it. It doesn't matter if it was Whis, Goku, Vegeta, or Oolong who did it; the user of this hax doesn't make it any more fair. Frieza used his strength and resources available to him in his plane of existence to score a victory. Whis straight up undid reality. He pressed a reset button. That's beyond fucked up.bleed0range wrote:I don't really consider it cheating if Goku uses Whis help to time travel back for a "re-do" on the Freeza battle. Why? Because Whis' power is just another power, like any other in the series and Goku has long been one to take advantage of his friends help to win battles. A senzu bean could be considered cheating too, but they've used those before. I suppose maybe it would seem better if Goku had learned this time-hopping ability from Whis and made it his own technique?
Nowadays, we have two sets of dragon balls with absolutely no limitations if the writers feel like it, and a Whis, who not only possesses time travel, but is also the most powerful character in the universe by a wide, wide margin. It's all very bad, imo.
That all said, I'm still just assuming here. I may completely change my mind upon watching the film.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

As Beerus once said "This isn't a game, you're fighting to live." Sure in a fair fight with no tricks Vegeta sounds like the winner. But this is an all out battle where anything goes. Vegeta already started fighting a worn down Freeza which is already unfair for Freeza.bleed0range wrote:I guess that's true. But maybe not. Oh wow. Regardless of what happened to Freeza (hope he survived in some form), looks like that leaves the door open for another film. As in they transform straight into blue instead of red -> then blue? Cause Goku's hair shape is that of SSJ1 form, while his red hair from Battle of God was normal shapesintzu wrote:I think it's how they look when they absorb all of the form's power so it's not a new form.Basaku wrote:Anyone who saw the movie can confirm whether blue hair is just SSJ version of God mode?

That's progress in the mastery of that form.
The first Super Saiyan God attempt (and as base form) required Saiyan energy to circle through six Saiyans.
Now they can trigger the Super Saiyan God as Super Saiyans by making the energy connect through only two Saiyans.
If that's true, I forgive them shuttling ssjg magenta Gokû's status to low power ssjg. Additionally wish I could send this information years back in time to myself.
MG, holding hands to power up their ssjg mode. X3
I need to see this.
Also, Whis turning back time so Gokû could try to rescue Vegeta and the world is giving me serious Madoka vibes in a good way.
Oh! Other questions!
Is ssjg magenta Gokû in the movie at all?
On hiatus.

We dont know that, Vegeta fought a wasted/tired Frieza from fighting with Goku, also Goku only lost cuz Sorbet had some hax ring sh*t going for him that Vegeta had no problem since he killed Sorbet before he fought Frieza.bleed0range wrote:I guess that's true.
