I have a theory on about why Gotenks doesn't have the standard Metamoran clothes: Maybe because Goten & Trunks use Fusion for years, Fusion has become their own technique now, instead of just a technique from the Metamorans. So, now they don't just get Metamoran clothes, but also a mix of Metamoran & their clothes.

Hmm...it's possible, I suppose. In anything other than Heroes, I'd expect there to be some kind of explanation just like that (or them randomly having spares of their outfits and putting some on after fusing), but Heroes being what it is, I'm guessing we'll just have to continue speculating like this sadly.

If there was some sort of an explanation like that behind why he doesn't have the regular full set of Metamorean clothing, then I'd have no problem with the design. But as it's already been mentioned, Heroes is just a card game. We probably won't get any explanation (unless Victory Mission manages to touch on it), so his appearance doesn't make sense and I will continue to be grumpy about it. =P

I think Yamamuro worked on more GT episodes than Nakatsuru.
Nakatsuru designed the Super Saiyan 4, but I don't know if it was confirmed who designed Super 17?!

Nakatsuru is the only character designer for GT. All the characters except for the ones done by Toriyama were designed by Nakatsuru.

Did he come up with the idea of having sharp, long noses?

Its about freaking time with this adult Gotenks stuff, but what bothers me the most about his design even though I have no problem with it, is that the designers behind all the what-if characters we've gotten so far have opportunities to go all out with crazy designs for Baby-Janemba and Super Cellventeen but no, they're just lazy reskins yet they actually take a few artistic liberties with Gotenks even though they didn't have too. If you class Janemba Baby and Super 17 Cell absorbed as lazy re-skin, then Gotenks Adult is nothing more than a lazy re-skin of Gogeta.

Maybe, but all Metamor Fusions were at the very most meant to be dressed the same (also most of the adult humanoid fighters in DB have the same body type), and being that Gotenks is Gogeta's son its only natural that they look alike and even then they still took some liberties with him having more of Trunk's individual clothes.

It's the difference between Baby Vegeta and Janenba Baby. First off, it implies Janenba is in control, hence why he only gets some of Baby's features. Secondly, like you said, Baby needed to absorb additional power in order to further transfigurate himself. Baby Vegeta in his base form is pretty much Vegeta with white hair and shit on his eyes.

I like that we finally got GT Gotenks. I still find it funny that yesterday's fan fiction is now today's reality. It won't surprise me if they make a SSj5 next.

We've never seen base Gogeta and Gotenks has no bangs, plus Gotenks's hair is pretty generic anyway even by DBZ standards because thats probably the only way to find a happy medium between Gotens' more wild hair style as apposed to Trunks's more "elegant" hair style I should say.

Was it ever stated that Janemba was the one in control? I seem to remember seeing gameplay of him and Baby is the one speaking through Janemba. The fact that Janemba has more of Baby's features than Vegeta did at first implies that he was possessed by the the Adult Baby that we see as he tries to retreat from Goku. Otherwise he'd just have some red face tats that we wouldn't be able to see because Janemba's skin is already red.

You're exaggerating dude (no need for the hissy fit either), no one said Adult Gotenks was "DA GREATEST THING EVAR!!1!", its just a cool idea that should've happened in GT or should've happened in a game a long ass time ago and now we're finally getting it, even though he looks a little different from how we all imagined. I'm not the biggest Goten/Trunks/Gotenks fan either but I still like the idea of Gotenks as an adult.

I'm not really a Baby fan but I love Janemba, so I kinda hate that he (Janemba) is being possessed by that creep but I was willing to warm up to the idea if he at least looked cool but he doesn't imo. Thats my main beef with it, is that I think his design is wack its not about originality because technically Baby possessing anyone would be unoriginal because he did that already in the series. Grown up Gotenks isn't original either because Goten and Trunks fused before, when they were children.

I can kinda get on board with the idea of Super Cellventeen... The fact that Super 17 absorbed Cell is kinda neat to me in a sense that its pay back for #17 but again his design sucks balls imo..

Something thats completely original isn't going to be liked by everybody (see Super Saiyan God) and even if people like the idea they probably won't like the design or how something was executed (Again see SSJGod or GT as whole).

But like you said lets be do with it.. for now I guess.. Agree to disagree..
