It is not only him that think Toriyama should retire. But on the plus side, it is good because whenever I see someone bashing on Bardock/Ooishi Naho, I have a counter-argument.Suupaa Gohan 2 wrote:I'm going to echo Low Tone G's sentiment and say that it's time for Toriyama to retire. Well, since art is not interesting, wouldn't know about this.Cold Skin wrote:If you turn natural black hair to its natural opposite, it becomes blond. If you turn unnatural red hair to its unnatural opposite, it becomes blue.
Art concept at its simplest.

Yes, I do. Let it rest. Spin-offs are fine, but there's no point in continuing the storyline anymore.GokuRules987 wrote:he might not make another DBZ movie. Do you want that to happen?

Going to go out on a limb and say it's a commentary on how to do god forms right in his opinion (I personally prefer Kurumada's original God Cloths from the manga *also gold*), but yeah, there needed to be some context in there.Vegitofaxx wrote:Not to be a mood killer...But what are those doing on the DB forum?
...That or he was browsing two forums and posted in the wrong one.
The spoilers are interesting, but I'm still going to withhold judgment until I can see the movie myself. Too many people jump to judge on movies like these without giving them a fair shake (like many of my DBZ fan friends, sadly).

This is interesting, people want Akira to retire and not make any more dragon ball. My question is, what are you doing on this forum?

Goku defeats Nappa and Vegeta kills him : It's considered a win for Goku.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Goku achieved Super Saiyan 2 and 3 off-screen,nobody ever seems to bring that up at all.
Vegeta defeats Freeza and Goku kills him : It's considered a loss for Vegeta.
So them complaining about Freeza even though the same thing happened with Goku isn't surprising to me.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Why? Just because you don't like it, Toriyama should retire? If you don't like the new material maybe YOU should ignore It instead?Suupaa Gohan 2 wrote:God, this movie sounds more like absolute crap the more I learn about it. Even if the central idea of Freeza's revival was something I was opposed to from the start, it still would have been nice if the rest of the movie didn't read like pointless schlock.
I'm going to echo Low Tone G's sentiment and say that it's time for Toriyama to retire. Let someone else handle Dragonball from now on. Either that or let it rest; there's no need to drag it through the mud like this.

Yes, because Ooishi Naho has produced a critically acclaimed manga that has sold millions of copies worldwide and became one of the most significant mangaka of all time. They are are totally comparable.Dyno wrote:It is not only him that think Toriyama should retire. Oh great! I came back here to see if we got some new info and spoilers, first post I see is someone bashing Toriyama and the series. This thread is so annoying right now.
English is not my main language. Sorry if I make a mistake.

Ignore any bashings by those who haven't seen the movie yet. They're not worth reading.ssjjanemba wrote:This is interesting, people want Akira to retire and not make any more dragon ball. My question is, what are you doing on this forum?

Always using the whole story.
It is what it is now, pal. Historically, Toriyama is better than Ooishi, no doubt. But now? No way.

How many wishes does Shen Long grant, if I might ask? Just the one, like in the previous film?

Hi
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
Not entirely thrilled about how the movie sounds. Would have liked something bigger to have been going on with Freeza. Glad to hear there are plenty of great character moments and and at least a little bit of development for Goku and Vegeta. No strong opinions on Blueper Saiyan. Though, I'm particularly confused as to why they wouldn't play 'F' during a battle scene.
Incorrect. As a defender of the '4 months of training' "nonsense", I never expected it to be explained, nor did I go on about how it will. I'd mentioned that it might be, but even if it wasn't, between this being the silly, crazy, nonsensical kind of reality that Dragon Ball exists in, and Freeza being a mutant with an absurdly high battle power from birth and nearly 100% unexplained physiology, there's plenty of justification for those absurd gains, as I see it. It's fine if that doesn't do it for you, but there's no need to be so toxic about it.The Monkey King wrote:I remember all the defenders of this '4 months of training' nonsense going on about how we don't know how Freeza trained and it will be explained.
But nope we get nothing. not even an idea of what he did and the rest be off screen.

Wow, so he pulled of an Oolong? I wonder if that was an intentional homage or it just came about naturally from the mind of Toriyama? Hmm...kei17 wrote:Two.
