Two. Sorbet tries to revive Cold, too, but Shu (or Soba or whatever) yells "GIVE ME ONE MILLION ZENIE!" and Pilaf and his gang leave with a wad of bills.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I must see this movie now. I'm gonna die laughing when I see that scene.

This was unexpected, and sounds so funny
can't wait to see it (I'm still trying to decide if I will watch it dubbed or subbed/raw first )

Imagine if DB started these days. It would go like this:
"hey, what's happening in Dragon Ball today?"
"Goku wants Mutenroshi to train him, so he's bringing him some chicks now."
"oh i see, just slice of life filler then. skippable. "
At least no one can say Toriyama forgot about how many wishes the dragon can make.
When Goku got sent back was it before Vegeta fought Freeza or after ?
And how damaged was Freeza before he blew up the earth ?
He can grant three wishes, though.
It doesn't matter because Dende can do whatever he wants with the dragon anyway.
No he can't. Porunga grants three wishes. Shenlong grants two.

I feel like those toys are absurdly luminous compared to what is probably in the film.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Taking as example: Saint Seiya: Hades Arc story was solely about pleasing older fans
I doubt it. It was created to finish adaptation of manga. The same way as Inuyasha: Final Act was released years later after the original Inuyasha series.
Soul of Gold though seems to be exactly this, a product intended solely for pleasing older fans.

Very strange to look at. Looking forward to seeing it in motion! Though I guess we don't actually know how prominently it features yet. Do they fight extensively with this look or is it a passing moment?

We hadn't a movie in GT timeline, they could use that Heroes concept: Bring back Broly as SSJ4 against Goku and Vegeta. Yay! Another punch contest festival
Well, technically we had one, though it was more like a special. The one named Hero's Legacy. But I doubt that they'd go this way. It is just not safe.
Noah wrote:Besides, I would like something really dark to happen in this movie, something like Freeza torturing Goten and Trunks until finally kill both and then Goku and Vegeta would get angry but no boost or transformation by rage they would still be outclassed by Freeza, it would be amazing... But yeah Toriyama don't have this vision about his series, unfortunately.
Goku didn't seem to care much in Buu arc when Buu absorbed his children and later killed them. So I doubt that he'd care in a movie, if it ever happens. Toriyama's Goku is now a completely different person from what he was in the beginning of series.

Holy crap, you're right. I just double checked in the manga.

Couldn't Shenlong grant three wishes?
Hasn't it been under a year since the last movie? Didn't they still have wishes left?

I'm going to echo Low Tone G's sentiment and say that it's time for Toriyama to retire. Let someone else handle Dragonball from now on. Either that or let it rest; there's no need to drag it through the mud like this.
Dude what if Toriyama had a secret account here and is reading what you posted right now! That might hurt his feelings and he might not make another DBZ movie. Do you want that to happen?
Toriyama: I’m the kind of person who doesn’t worry about it too much, but if [the response] was extremely bad, there were times when I’d think, “I wonder why?”. And also, I myself an extremely twisted person. So if, on a reader’s postcard, it was written “That’s this, and this’ll happen like this”, then I’d deliberately go with a development where that didn’t happen
