They used F Gokû I'm the manga ad, BOG Gokû on the website, and I'm pretty sure that's Buu arc Gokû on the twitter feed. So, no consistency at all it seems for Toei. ^^;

As for the Goku drawings they've been using, I doubt they have any bearing on the setting. It's more to do with them picking the first picture they have close to hand.

After listening to a couple of his tracks, I'm liking the tone of them. They're very uplifting. And if the title is anything to go by, the OP might be more energetic, too.

It was the GT gi that sucked, but i blame the crappy color palette of the show for that one.

I hope it takes place after EoZ. All the main characters still look young and badass (Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, Goten, Piccolo, Beerus, and Whis), and there is a larger number of young characters (thanks to Pan, Bra, Uub, Marron, etc.) than in the previous era.

...Oh, wait, looking into Yellow Monkey, I guess I am familiar with at least one song of theirs - they did 'Tactics', one of the ending themes for Rurouni Kenshin. I like the song, but...admittedly, just based on it alone, having a hard time imagining them doing something for Dragon Ball, especially an opening rather than an ending...hmm.

I liked that song a lot! I haven't heard anything new of them. They separated? Is it only the singer now? Can anyone put a link to any newer stuff for reference?


The question of WHEN is the series going to be placed is really, really making me anxious now. My ideal scenario would be post-EoZ but I would accept the series to be set right after FoF. See Bulma pregnant and Vegeta's reaction to that! xD It could be gold.

World Trigger had to use clips from the episode for the first few episodes of its new Ending, actually. There was nobody available to animate the Ending. Don't be surprised if the Opening and Ending are just a mish-mash of clips from Dragon Ball Super Episode #1 or Fukkatsu no F.

Actually, Opening. They actually had the Opening theme at the very end of the episode, because that sets a whole new record by Toei for placement of that song. ^^''

I think this may be what ended up happening, as a new Dragon Ball TV Anime is such a big deal for Toei, that they prioritized this over the other licenses temporarily.

Freaking Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold has an English version of the website, and the English-speaking Saint Seiya fanbase is absolutely miniscule.

If Dragon Ball Super was that big a deal for the production committee there probably would have been more time placed into the series before announcing it for a season when they'll already be supremely busy working on a half dozen other series.
