You could do a bit of comparing.
It ranked 6th of that week!

I was going to be impressed if it made top 30, let alone top 10!

how is it doing this well? I would have flopped harder than it did in theaters. I kind of liked the movie(in a bad funny sort of way) but I wasn't thinking about buying it.

Dont forget...this doesn't include downloads, last I checked it is still number 1 on PSN.

I think its almost all pure curiosity.

All the people who:

A) Never saw any advertising for this movie back when and before it was in theaters, as there was SO LITTLE ADVERTISING in general for it.

And:

B) People who didn't want to pay the cash to see it in theaters, but have no problem dropping the dough to see it on TV.

Probably account for a good amount of those numbers.
On hiatus.

Well, look at the competition. Almost every new release that week that wasn't a reissue outsold it. And look at the gap between it and it's nearest neighbor: Almost a 2x gap.

Honestly, much like the theatrical release, I expect it to sink to the bottom very quickly.

Dude, do you ever have anything positive to say? :?
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

He's just giving his honest opinion. He didn't come off as trashing the movie or insulting anyone, as far as I can see. Really Professor, what's the point in complaining about something like this when there's a little function called PMing? If you have a problem with Corey, you can settle it with him that way.

Sure. I saw Stone Temple Pilots a couple of weeks ago in Columbia, MD and they kicked ass. That's something positive.

Oh, wait. You meant about DBE.

Out of all movies, Sony chooses DragonBall Evolution.

They also chose Family Guy, which sucks. Also notice Taken, which is an awesome movie, but is also from Fox. Simpsons too. Sony must be in bed with Fox.

DBE actually did very well on PSN. It was rented more than a lot of big name movies. It only makes sense to have it on that thing, really. FFVII & Crash 2 have both sold very well, and they're featured. DBE was likely chosen for its surprising amount of success as a PSN rental.

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

Nice! The only good character in the film was Master Roshi. Then again he actually had an actor.

The one that gets me is when he says "Draaaaagon, the quest of seven has been fulfilled".

Hey there.

Just to let you know, The R2 (Europe/Middle East) release of the movie is out, and it says "Z Edition" on the cover.

If anybody is interested:

I heard about an alternate ending on YouTube with the Goku vs. Piccolo fight being longer. Can somebody shed light on this?

The R2 release is more or less the same as the R1, minus some different languages for dubs, and subs. Only major difference is that you guys didn't get the hideous EcoBox case, lmao. Edit: The Disc art is different too, the R2 one is from the NA release's Blu-Ray disc.
Cartman Blues wrote:I heard about an alternate ending on YouTube with the Goku vs. Piccolo fight being longer. Can somebody shed light on this?
No one here can give you a 100% certain answer to that. Internet Rumor is that it's part of some yet-to-be released Director's Cut. While others say it's just footage some pirate got from the "Worked Up!" music video, trailers, teasers, tv spots, etc. edited within the movie.

There is more to that fight then what we got in the Z-Edition/theatrical cut, we know that, Wong in one of the features on the DVD states how they only used a small percentage of the fights in the final movie, because it would take too long.
