I have to comment on that, too. I'm glad I'm not the only one that realized that those douches never reviewed that game. I guess a time came when they felt they were "above" reviewing DBZ games, and still are. The last one they reviewed was BT2, right? Or was it Budokai 3?

At this point, don't you already have opinions about Sparking! METEOR / Budokai Tenkaichi 3...? So what purpose would a GameSpot review of the game serve other than either justifying/validating opinions you already have...?

Or is the question still the somewhat-larger issue of general gaming sites not giving the franchise the attention you feel it deserves or should receive? 'Cuz... ya' know... *we'll* review Raging Blast 2 when it comes out... :P

Pfft. "Professional" reviews are useless anyway. More often than not, it's just a bunch of profanity, jokes, and pop culture references strung together with naught but the simplest of connecting thoughts.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Are you telling me X-Plays' stellar 5 star reviews are pointless!? Have at you!

Aside from the already mentioned X-Play I can't think of a single review site that does this. Even X-Play only puts no effort into the reviews like that when the developer put no effort into the game, such as pretty much every Dragon Ball Z game ever made.

Not so much reviews as they're short stories about the experience, the (I want to say reviews) that accompany the Penny Arcade webcomics are semi-useful to me.
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

No they pretty much put minimal effort into every review. Find a semi-amusing clip, play it on loop to the point that it's not funny anymore have a retarded skit with interns and or a talking celebrity head spouting catchphrases nobody uses anymore, take a little time off from the comedy gold to review the controls and have Morgan Manjaw use an extremely limited rating scale to rate said game. Rinse.Wash.Repeat. Of course there are some exceptions to the rule but not many.

Didn't X-Play get a huge fracking overhaul? I mean, I haven't watched it since maybe 2007, but 2007!X-Play seemed a lot less DURR than older X-Play. The only jokes, if any, were Sessler or Webb introducing the game they were about to review, then the review was straightforward.

I think they reviewed one Sparking! game once. /dragonballpost

I have no idea, I stopped watching a long time ago. It went from being "meh" to full on "HUUUUURGLE DEEEEERRRRF" last time I tuned into G4.

Last DBZ review I remember seeing on X-Play was Super DBZ and that was...atrocious. Even if you didn't like the game it was literally the worst review I've ever seen. That awful skit that took up 90% of the review wasn't even funny.

I'm gonna have to agree with all of you in saying that X-Play is complete shit. Heck, the only video game reviewing site I actually care about nowadays is IGN. If you want fair and balanced reviews, look no further.

But I can't blame any game reviewing site for not reviewing every single last DB game.

All I'm seeing there is accuracy. Imagine Babyz is the shit.

Anything that replaces an "S" with a "Z" and/or "$" is almost always going to suck (see: Ke$ha). I fail to see what the fuck that "Z" is doing there. Did they want to make it sound more hardcore? "Imagine Party Babyz - WILD PARTY BABYZ! SHAKE DAT MOTHAFUCKIN RATTLE YO - SHAKE IT!"

... I just realised, if anything, it should be "Babiez". But I guess they felt that that just didn't kill the English language enough.

Also, allow me to express my excitement for RB2, and my hope that it will expand upon and be an improvement over the first game.

New trailer for the game has (sorta) cropped up:

http://www.made2game.com/2010/05/24/dra ... -interweb/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4rH0rv26lc

It seems as if the audio's been replaced, since it definitely doesn't line up toward the beginning, and then you'll see/hear the audio just completely drop out a little over halfway through the video. Doesn't seem like the trailer's made its rounds to the general press yet, at least here in North America (this one's branded for Europe) -- hopefully we'll see it pop up in a bit more official capacity sometime soon.

Nothing particularly new or exciting -- it's all Z-based characters that we've seen before still smashing each other around at 60 fps.

So, that's Bardock, Dodoria, Cell, "Fighting" Trunks, Pure Buu, and Broli confirmed. Can't say I'm liking the new graphics, I much prefer the more traditional cel-shaded look. These character models remind me of, dare I say it, Final Bout, although admittedly much prettier and with black outlines.

"Enough Tactical Depth to Satisfy"

... I'm sorry, what?

^Thought the same thing.

I'm lovin' Freeza's aura, though. Looks sinister.

As far as G4 goes...they haven't been good since I was in middle school....but I guess that was just my pre-pubescent self enjoying their pre-pubescent humor...

Two completely different games, with different goals and audiences getting two different scores. Nothing surprising there.

Also, with all these game modes and characters and whatever else was advertised on that trailer.. I'm still seeing the exact same stuff from Raging Blast... what a surprise! Can't wait to play it once, and only remember Kageyama's latest vocal opening.

Its not been replaced its when the person who was uploading it converted it bad and made the video lag but not the the audio.Well here is the Real Version in sync.

Hope you enjoy.
