I may be in the minority here but for me Super's best beats Z's best.

Though I do agree with the sentiment that Supers best is better than Z's best, all your examples are really poor at displaying this, as they aren't really all that animated, and are mostly just repeat frames. Even most of your choices that aren't just repeat frames don't really have any particularly interesting timing in them.

Did you really had to quote me on this to prove a point? I already said that what I posted was from my point of view, we all have stuffs that differs from the other when it comes to whats good animation and whats not. Also most of the stuffs you posted in super are stuffs that werent shown back then when I posted it.

I agree, people have different tastes and views when it comes to animation, my personal favourite piece on Z might not be other peoples personal favourite. I guess I just found it disheartening that people consider something as conservative as repeat frames good animation while there is obviously technically superior stuff out there. This isn't a personal attack on you, its just that I see this so much in the fandom it can get tiresome.

I thought it was an interesting topic so I decided to make a couple of posts on it. I may or may not have also done so to put all the Sakuga from both series' on a single post.
Piccolo vs 17 is an extremely underrated fight, It really has some amazing pieces of fluid animation. Especially when you compare to the Piccolo and Frost fight.

I think Piccolo's art and design here is the best in the entire franchise.
The annoying thing about Z is that almost every hit had that shaking effect to add impact. It just became over saturated. Super has the inverse problem, it needs more .

Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

I'm pretty sure the episode supervisor for the 17 and Piccol fight was Uchimaya. Even though he wasn't a very good supervisor, he had very good key animators working under him (I think Shida was one of them). Also, the forth gif is credited to Naoki Tate.
