Which motive do you think they're going to go with the film?

The original "fun, breezy adventure" theme with Mystic powers and mythological monsters.

Or the dub Hard-Core, ROCK MUSIC, Grunge screaming cool dudes with awesome fighting powers?
I love humans, always seeing patterns in things that aren't there.

"Fun, breezy adventure" goes out the window when the Saiyans show up. Image

I wouldn't mind some rock music, actually. 8) You can flame me now, but it wouldn't be that bad.

I hope that they use good fighting techniques though. Not crappy Matrix fighting. I want it to be real, like in the manga. Lots of blood and gore, plus an uneven battle. I hate it in the first Matrix movie when Nero "transforms" into "The One", and then the stands with his side turned into the Agent and blocks his punches with only one hand. There should be more jumping around and ki blasts shot.
I hope they can manage the flying to be more realistic.

Yeah, because you know, in real life, there's plenty of 10-foot-tall, huge, hulking, just as wide across with muscles as they are tall dudes to cast as a perfectly-matching-the-comics Juggernaut.

You mix what's already been done in Kung Fu Hustle and Superman Returns together, you've got DragonBall Z. Oh, and flying's no problem, if you've seen the latter of those two.

About Juggernaut: Agreed!

About DBZ Live Action fighting: Yeah you are right. Do you think they will get the "dissapearing and moving too fast to see" effect correct? And how will ki-blasts look? Will they be able to make veins to show when someone is fighting in his full power or is angry?
Well I hope they get it right, they have got the technology right afterall.

I wonder how big budget they have.

So that's a pretty good budget. I hope they use their money well. Or else... :x

I have no worries with how the energy blasts will look. They'll probably be kept to a minimum (and really, that's not a bad thing. Energy blasts were never the primary means of battle in the series anyway) so they can spend a decent chunk of change on each blast. I mean, just look at Cyclops' optic blasts from the X-Men movies for a good example of an energy blast.

As for the viens. Meh, I dobut it. It's not really needed anyway. And besides, I don't expect them to make the action completely over the top. This is a live action movie, they need to keep some semblance of believability to the fights, more so than an animated movie would. But they could do the viens if they wanted. I point, again, to X-Men. Namely the first movie. They showed some pretty good details on Wolverine when Rogue was draining his life force.
Jackie Chan wouldn't make a good Muten Roshi.
Say what!? Jackie Chan would make a fucking AWESOME Roshi.

Yeah, I'm thinking/hoping the fighting will be mostly high-powered melee, at least for the first movie or two.

Can you imagine Goku and Vegeta just punching each other through buildings and throwing train cars and buses at each other, wrecking an entire city in their fight?

Kinda lazy, but...where's the confirmation on this? All I'm seeing is Fox saying they can't confirm anything because shooting dates and/or locales haven't been locked in. Sounds kind of contradictory.

What about their Kamehameha and Galick-Ho struggle? To leave that out would be rape on the Goku vs. Vegeta fight.

Regarding the "disappearing and moving too fast to see" ordeal, imagine it somewhere on the lines of X-men 2's Nightcrawler.

I hope the action is extreme. The beam struggle is ultra important, and if the battle is only a few minutes long, that would be an extreme let down. It should be the longest battle of the film. :)

I'm not saying they can't make it, I'm saying it'd look ridiculous.

It would look great. The Juggernaut in the movie looks and is ridiculous.

Was not his first line in the movie something like "I need to take a piss", they can do better than that and you know it.

He still said "You know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut bitch!" I cracked up at that one, lol!

Bzzzzzzzzzzzt! Walking with Dinosaurs is not a TV show. It's a fucking-huge live attraction extravaganza event with a budget like you wouldn't believe.

You know, I was just thinking, fanboy logic amazes me in it's confusing contradictory-ness. We get people bitching about fully CGI characters on one movie, and then other people bitching about another movie using a real person instead of special effects.....

ANYWAY! The Juggernaut of the X-Men movies isn't even the same damn Juggernaut from the comics. Aside from the whole 'it's a movie, not the comic' thing there's the fact that he apparently doesn't know Xavier (he never mentioned it) and that he's, you know, actually a Mutant in the movie.

Walking with dinosaurs is a tv show... Theres a live show of it, but not like you describe.

I know it would work. If you don't, fine.
