Yeah, much different context. We really have no idea how long Gohan had been dead before the manga began. Obviously Goku would be sad and somewhat lonely when it first happened, but apparently enough time had passed for him to be feeling better. Time heals all wounds.

It's not by any chance right before he puts a giant Goku sized hole in the middle of Piccolo's chest is it? 'Cuz that would be neato. :lol:

Yes. I can't believe it, but he does.

I wonder how much time passed between Gohan's death and Bulma discovering Goku on the mountain-side. I imagine it'd have to be such a grim, depressing task for little Goku to discover his grandfather's remains, bury him, and begin living alone.

I'd like to say something like four or five years in between those events, but that would've made Goku 7 or 8 when Gohan died...

Either way, too early for Movie!Roshi to make death-jokes around emotionally-distressed Chatku.

I'm just coasting with the new information for now.

:shock: If you're speaking the truth then, well that settles it. The rest of the movie can suck now for all I care. I just want to see this in live action!

Yup, I did mean the original. ^^;;

Sorry for the confusion.

Anyway, for the live action; that's definitely way too early to make death-jokes. @_@

Either way, I'm curious as to how someone of Chatwin's height (I'm assuming he's average height for a guy in his 20's?) is gonna bust a body-sized bullet-hole through Piccolo.

I mean, when Toriyama's Goku did it, he was little, it was in and out. But Chatwin...is not so little.

Maybe if the scene moves faster than it did in the anime....?

Have we gotten any indication as to Piccolo's relative height in the movie? He was pretty damn huge in the original.

If that's really how they do it, than I'll be pretty pleased. I knew they wouldn't do it exactly the way it was originally done, but it's pretty similar to the original.

I can see this being like the Father-Son Kamehameha in Z...
[quote="Brakus"]For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". Gohan? Like, not really there... but in spirit, like against Cell? I don't see why that's a bad idea...
