Okay, good. I just wanted to make sure we weren't going off-topic.
We definitely were getting off-topic. I seen an ongoing discussion going on about the relevance of certain characters and couldn't resist but to jump in.

I mean, think of the human fans who got their favorites replaced by Piccolo and Gohan. Now, I can't feel sorry for fans like you and you actually make me dislike characters like Piccolo and hope they never see the spotlight again like Broly fans.

And I love how you try to dismiss as a Goku fan. Your resentment towards Goku and Vegeta really doesn't get old.

Also for the record, an author not doing what you want isn't lazy. It's you not liking what the author does.
My only problem with this is that the new characters added aren't all that interesting. I loved Krilin as a child and then I started liking Gohan when the two of them started sharing time on screen. Then, Krilin began to get less and less importance and Gohan became almost the main character. That felt natural within the story and I hadn't any problem with that. Now almost all the cast is fading and we don't have (in my opinion) a proper replacement.
This is what it comes down to, for me. Out of all the new characters introduced I liked Hit the most but they didn't really expand on his backstory much and he didn't join the main cast. Beerus is all right but he was better as an antagonist instead of a neutral presence consistently around until what looks like the next few episodes. Super's problem is the cast is arguably too small now, whereas DB/Z brought out a variety of interesting characters, even if they weren't always doing something important. Opinions and all of course, but that's how I feel.

About this being Toriyama's best work? Maybe from a lore perspective but it's far from his best character and action moments so far. Maybe that'll change once the future comes back into play.

I love Beerus and don't mind Whis. Beerus is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites in the series, he really grew on me.

However, with that said, their presence alone just ruins the tension because they are much too powerful. We all know that if they really wanted to get rid of Black they could have destroyed him easily when Black went to the present timeline and fought Goku.

I'm quite sure Super Saiyan Rose or Pink that Black transforms into will still be weaker than Beerus but especially Whis. When the major villain isn't the strongest guy around for that specific point in time it just makes things so much lighter in terms of plot because of such powerful allies.

The additional summary for 55 gives us a little bit that the earlier one didn't, though. Apparently the Omni-king just wanted a friend and to have Gokuu come play with him :P After that, Gokuu goes to the devastated ruins of the future to save the day. But someone is targeting Gokuu and co. ...

Despite the fact that the last part wants us to think it's about Black, I'd predict it's gonna be Mai, trying to take out Gokuu because she mistakes him for Black.

Now I'm interested!

Depending on what the Omni-king means by "play" this could go several different ways.
If it's playing like sparring, Gokû'll probably have fun, but if it's games he'll probably get bored/anxious/inpatient.

Happy to hear they leave for the future in the next ep.
Yeah, the part about Omni-king wanting a friend, while probably not plot-related, sounds sorta interesting. I wonder if he thought that Gokuu could be his friend because he's the only one who talked to him casually...everyone else always shows fear and reverence when he appears! So maybe he took a liking to this one (oblivious) guy who treated him like anyone else.

As for having Gokuu come over to "play", the word in Japanese can also mean to hang out, which it how it's usually used when talking about adults. But both of these characters are so child-like, having a play date seems so much more fitting  As for what type of "playing" it'll be, I'm sure Gokuu will find a reason to have a sparring match with somebody...

Yeah that's what i said too. The reason Goku acted so different towards Omni-King shows his unique character. Instead of totally being scared and freaking out around him. Since Omni-King is obviously used to that by now. So the fact that Goku didn't. and acted so casually around him, may have intriequed him and gained some respect. He most likely appreciated this nice little change of events. The fact that he considers him a friend reminds me of Majin Buu. With Satan being more casual around him and he called him a friend too.

*opens Kanzenshuu*
*sees 5 new pages in the announcement thread*
*gets excited*
*scrolls through 5 pages of Piccolo/Gohan crying*
*sees no announcements*
*disappointingly closes Kanzenshuu*
Rinse, repeat with this thread.

Wait... so Zeno simply wanted a friend and someone to play with? isnt he like the most powerful being in the multiverse who has probably lived for millions of years? how can he not have friends? and of all people Goku..... oh right, because he's the MC, almost forgot.

While I'm hyped for ep 56 SSJRose intro since we have King Ryu, my expectations for 57 is pretty low considering the one doing it is Toshio who writes Goku like Luffy.

Onki king is a very child like character. He finds goku interesting, so he wants to make him his play friend. Also thank god we are finally going to future in #55.

Zen'ō
I'm surprisingly not bugged by him wanting to hang out with Goku. I guess I'm pleased with how he's reacted to Goku, since he seems to like him thus far.
Super Saiyan Rosé
Getting hyped for this. Probably only gonna show up at the end of the episode. Which means another long wait until we actually see it.

If all of the Gods of Destruction are cats, I will SCREAM mentally. Hopefully we'll get at least one female regardless.

My guess is that the God of Destruction of one of the universes is probably Shu, who somehow knows about image training despite appearing weak. How is that possible unless he's also a Hakaishin?

How knowing that a thing exist means that you practice/are an expert on that thing?

Because he must have done it, and he can probably defeat Beerus at this point.

I cant tell if youre being sarcastic here or serious.... Toei simply wanted someone to explain what Trunks was doing, either that or Shuu simply knows about image training, its a pretty basic training method, basically its common knowledge.

It requires advanced manipulation of ki. Do you think Mr. Satan can image train? No, the fact that Shu knows a secret training technique like this proves that he is insanely strong.
