I don't hate Goten at all. I feel bad for him and Trunks being such wastes. They have gotten so much time, and yet they aren't given fucking shit. Besides present Trunks hardly doing shit now (which could change), the biggest insult for me as of late was the Googeta arc. You have Gotenks job so hard it's ridiculous, making him useless without anything redeemable. Only as Gotenks do they ever get something to be relevant for a while in the series proper. Outside that, nothing. It's unbelievable to me how much time they've had, and how little they've been built up. Not even simply for fighting, but for anything. Trunks at least has a goal, so that's one good step for him. Even if it's an unknowingly creepy goal. Goten like with most of the other irrelevant characters, doesn't really have anything driving him at all.
