I definitely enjoyed the SS3 fight even from the broadcast. These shots in particular:

Yep, that's one. Like I mentioned, I'm attracted towards the "younger" look of the characters.

Well, I see.

Thanks a lot !

In any case, I'm mostly a animation's fan before the art, I don't really care about being on-model, but yeah it's always good and refreshing some episodes with on-model and detailled characters after all these off-model ones ahah

Regarding all the production problems would Super have benefited a lot if they started working on it while Buu Kai was airing? It gave them over a years worth of buffer, feels like a waste.

Hey Ajay, where do you get the information for who worked on each episode? Because I'd like to use it to start a thread like this for One Piece on Arlong Park Forums.

I'm not too certain the idea of producing anything after Dragon Ball Kai was under their Dragon Radar, especially as it was closing. The decision was a response to Resurrection F's success. It's interesting it was announced before the year date cutoff you mentioned. Obviously, that wasn't enough time if we assume pre-production was already underway.

Don't know if Ajay use it, but there is also Anime News Network which has an older database than Animator's Corner and sometimes more precise stuffs.
But don't know if it will be usefull for work with a such recent licence as One Piece.

Yeah, Animator's Corner is the place to go. It's easy to see each episode broken down properly.

Anime News Network is nice for a general overview, but pretty bad for actually finding episode by episode breakdowns.

Other than that, the Sakuga Wiki is helpful, but keep in mind that is all in Japanese.

Super quick and shitty edit, but it gets the point across that Shimanuki is sooo close to getting his style to a good place, he just needs to thin his heads.

Are you me in disguise? I tweeted basically the same thing earlier.

You're absolutely right, though. That is a wide head!

It's funny, we've moved past that for the most part, but for some reason, Vegeta almost always seems to have a wide head when Shimanuki draws him.

It hasn't really been this wide since 36 I'd say, 42 and 48 had it quite a bit thinner most of the time if I remember correctly (though still wide). I could be wrong though.
He's so close though, hopefully by the end of the arc he gets there.

Is it just me or does ssb look better than ever here? Also that background is beautiful.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

It's the hair that does it for me. Really beautiful angular shapes with a few sleek curves where necessary. The shading is wonderful, too.

Thoroughly enjoying just about everything this arc is throwing at us so far. Can't wait to see Tate and Karasawa's next episodes!

I also really wanna see what Onishi can do on his own. He had a much bigger presence on Dragon Ball in the past that I initially thought.

I think it's the shading that truly does it for me. Absolutely phenomenal. Tates shouldn't be too far off right? And I agree, I like what we've seen of Onishi so far. Someone I don't want to see is Toma. I haven't liked any of his episodes so far.

Does anyone else think that SSB goes with the old outfits just fine? I mean the new outfits do look better with it of course but the old outfits don't look too bad with it imo.

I think it is a case of letting it grow, but I do think SSGSS looks better on old Vegeta's outfit than on old Goku's.

I like ssb on both outfits too. On Vegeta's there is a lot of blue so I understand why other people's opinions would differ though.

If there is one thing that Super has been pretty good at delivering it's backgrounds, and this arc the backgrounds look better than ever, so I guess the presumed improvement to the schedule is really letting the background artists go to town with detail.

Oh? What has he done in the past? Animator's Corner only lists him as working on two episodes of Z.

Also I just realized Onishi isn't actually credited as having done any animation on any of his episodes, that's really strange.

He was a key animator on the JSAT special, Z movies 6,7,8,9, and Path to Power. He also animated parts of the second half of the original Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans.
