What do you use to watch your Japanese DVDs with, if you live in the US?

It's pretty obvious he just means its still sealed in plastic. Dude doesn't exactly make my favourite posts on here either, but surely you can let that one slide.

Wouldn't it still be sealed by a... factory?

Some stuff I got while at the Mall of America...

Image

A Goku towel! It was $12! I'm not sure if I should use it, or hang it on my wall. It's actually rather large.

Aaaaand, here's the best part...as a promotion for some football toss game, they were giving these away every time you attempted the game (which cost $2 per attempt).

Image

Kind of wish I'd gotten the whole set, haha. They're about 4" tall. The others were: base Goku, SSJ [Adult] Gohan, SSJ Future Trunks, Super Buu, and Cell. I can post closer-up images if anyone would like. I'm not too deep into the DB figurine market so for all I know these are the most common thing ever...buuuut, I thought it was pretty cool that they only cost me $2. Plus -- Vejitto!!

You have some neat stuff there. But which one is Goku, the blonde one or the one with black hair? I always get the two confused.

They're both Goku. One is base form Goku, the other is SSJ Goku.

Oh, thanks!! I thought they kind of looked like those (from seeing peoples' discussion about them on here before) but then I felt sure they weren't because so many of the ones I remembered seeing in passing on the thread weren't there. So it looks like the ones they were giving away are (obviously differently packaged -- these ones were in blue hexagon-shaped boxes) "Series 1" and "Series 2" figures then. Cool, thanks for directing me to that thread!

They're repacked because they'll be in a crane game

On those crane game figures, does anyone have a Goku or Cell for sale? I've got a SS Vegito to trade as well.

Oh, yes, that would make sense since the (hexagonal) packages had holes about the diameter of a finger on a few sides. I'd heard of such DBZ figure crane games, but have yet to see one myself. I'm not sure what the crane game ones were doing there, being given away for a football toss, since there was a plethora of crane machines throughout the mall that they could have been put in instead. Eh. Perhaps they just wanted to get rid of them and figured that would be the quickest way. (On a sort of related note, I saw a similar machine where you tried to snip things that are hanging off of strings, and the prize was a Wii. O.o I didn't try it but it must have been tough because there were still two left.)

Thanks again for the pics. Are the first eight normally the only ones in the crane game? They were the only figures pictured on the packages mine were in and the only ones I saw at the stall. (Really wish there would have been a Piccolo...)

Banpresto rereleased the first two series of the HSCF in America last year. They were the same figures but with the all new hexagonal packaging. So far those are the only figures that have been released in the US.

I picked up Dragonball revenge of King Piccolo for 28 bucks at Big W.

I'm pretty happy with that.

I've been looking for it over the past several weeks and found a big pile of them at my local Big W today.

Assuming their prices are the same nation-wide, it might be worth checking out.

You're so lucky that you have them cranes over there. We have nothing over here. No cranes, no figures(apart from crappy toys lol) and worst of all...no DVD's. Someday, I'm gonna hijack a plane, fly it over to the US, and fill it completely with DB merchandise.

EDIT:
Sorry guys, but how do I post my own photos?
SSJSteve kindly told me how to post pictures, but my own photos do not have links on them. Please, can anybody help?
Cheers!
