Blue Super Saiyan looks pretty awesome. It has that silverish look that gives it a special sheen.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

"Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan" Goku looks much thinner than Freeza in the scan. I wonder if Goku was supposed to retain the original Super Saiyan God's thinner frame in this form, but the animation staff just didn't roll with it this time...?

Diggin the bluessj already
But the name Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan than ANN used is just stupid and lame. Never gonna use that one.
Mastered Super Saiyan God, Beyond Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan God Mode are much better.
Or this one would be true Super Saiyan God, while the other red form should be called just saiyan god or imperfect super saiyan god.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

My bad, looks like that Boo arc cover is a lot closer to it than the Cell Games one I was remembering. Somehow I didn't even recall the Boo one, but I guess it's cuz I've owned Vol. 17 for a long time (want to say it was like my second manga volume), so it's just more ingrained in my mind.

Thx! So just a retro-styled cover. Still cool I guess, but I would be even better if it was officially released as new manga volumeEA575 wrote:According to KanzenshuuBasaku wrote: So is the Volume F an actual manga drawn by Toriyama or just a cover for "movie guide" styled after old manga covers?More importantly and intriguingly, however, is a special book labeled as “Jump Comics Godliest Edition” (JC最“神”刊; janpu komikkusu sai-“shin”-kan) — a pun on “the latest volume” (最新刊; saishinkan) — and entitled Dragon Ball Volume “F” (ドラゴンボール 巻『F』; doragon bōru kan “efu”) — a pun on how the original tankōbon volumes of the series were labeled. While it should be noted that it is not advertised to contain any actual comics, this booklet is set to compile the complete script of the film, along with conceptual material and commentary on the film itself. As this booklet will touch on the plot of the film in detail, the packaging advises attendees not to open it until after seeing the film.

Hmm. I don't really know what to make of this. I need to see more of the aura in motion to really know if the transformation is really fitting. As for now, it looks promising, but the jury is still out for me.ShinGaijin wrote:

So...is it fair game once again to call it Super Cyan?
Because that's certainly not a normal blue (definitely not a dark blue), it looks pretty Cyan.
Also, really digging the color. Glad they didn't go with a normal blue.

Well... that looks pretty cool. Not the greatest transformation ever but certainly quite good.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Spoiler:
Also, "Blueper Saiyan", is the official term for the new form. No one can tell me otherwise.

SSGSS. Oh my god. The form looks ok. Would have preferred a more fiery tone to the hair though. For being supposedly the final form, it looks pretty underwhelming.

At least the art looks nice (although Goku looks kinda younger than in the Buu saga, probably due to the rounder art style).
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
Definitely, but let's be honest. Lots of future official art and stuff will likely feature much uglier shade of this. It looks ok when it's heavily "washed out". Slightest oversaturation will make it look extremly cheapMewzard wrote:So...is it fair game once again to call it Super Cyan?

I hope the form's aura is a bit more intense. Based of the scan, the hair certainly isn't going to cover it in the "intensity" department. Despite that, I do think they picked an excellent color for it. Not too light, not to dark. Although I would have preferred a more baseline blue, this is still pretty nice.

I think it'd look better if Goku was wearing a different colored outfit, like the blue and white one he wore at the end of Z. In these pics, the new hair color just clashes too much with his orange and blue gi.
It probably looks better on Vegeta.

I think his end of Z dogi would have just had too much blue on it. The same reason why I think Vegeta's outfit was made gray in this film.Piririn wrote:I think it'd look better if Goku was wearing a different colored outfit, like the blue and white one he wore at the end of Z. Speaking of outfit changes, you reckon we will get an explanation or do you think they'll just roll with it, like with Jaco?

They are definitely just gonna roll with it. But I doubt a sudden outfit change is gonna create any issues.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Speaking of outfit changes, you reckon we will get an explanation or do you think they'll just roll with it, like with Jaco?
