Final Cut didn't do the best job exporting but you can still tell which version is better.

Lol that's an unfair amount of dislikes (Probably Dragon box exclusive or Kai exclusive), I can see the exporting wasn't top notch but you can still determine which is better.Ani-Nation7 wrote:Over 9000 comparison Dragon Box vs Blu-Ray

@batistabus - Lol that's why I funny that you still get a fair few of people saying Dragon boxes are better, there is no way that a 480p DVD can match a Bluray.

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
When Toei releases their DBZ HD Remaster in 1080p HD Blu-ray, it'll be the same thing all over again, comparing this and comparing that, comparing etc.
IMO: Kai > Dragon Box > Level 1.1
IMO: Kai > Dragon Box > Level 1.1
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Hah, he got stumped when I told him about Kei's original broadcast uploads. He's not attacking the BDs anymore. At least not with the intention of blatantly attacking them.Ani-Nation7 wrote:Oh jeez I think a flame war just started -.-

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
I've come to terms that it's generally not worth worrying about Youtube comments, especially when it comes to anything remotely Dragon Ball related. It's either someone who doesn't know any better or someone looking to rile you up -- or both. I've never once seen an argument come to an agreement to disagree or anything that didn't end in personal insults being thrown.

Lol that guy was annoying he started like 'Yeh you've never seen the original broadcast' etc etc and now he's like 'Well I haven't actually seen it on TV so I can't say anything'...GotenDaisuki wrote:Hah, he got stumped when I told him about Kei's original broadcast uploads. Does PS3 do this?Son Geeko wrote:For the people who don't like the grain, from what I'm aware of some Blu-Ray players have a grain removal option. TheGreenQuality from YouTube posted a video demonstrating this, until Toei banned his account....

I can't remember, but most HDTVs do.funrush wrote:Does PS3 do this?Son Geeko wrote:For the people who don't like the grain, from what I'm aware of some Blu-Ray players have a grain removal option. TheGreenQuality from YouTube posted a video demonstrating this, until Toei banned his account....
Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
I don't think so, I may be wrong but I checked through some the settings out of curiosity and couldn't find anything. Looks like you need a decent Blu-ray player to have this option. Or maybe your TV may be capable.funrush wrote:Does PS3 do this?Son Geeko wrote:For the people who don't like the grain, from what I'm aware of some Blu-Ray players have a grain removal option. Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
From what I understand it doesn't and cannot do anything with the colors or grain removal, etc.
You would have to check if your TV could do it. PS3's are out of the equation when it comes to color-correction/denoising.

Here's Kai.
Again quality is nothing special but it gives you a good idea on how each set looks.
The two videos are a little off.

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
I'm having a hard time deciding. I think the more "cartoonish" colors of the DBOX fit with the mood of DBZ and are nice to look at. But the more realistic colors are nice in their own right but can be a bit to dark. And the Blu Ray get points for showing more film but as Kendamu said the Blu Rays seem a little flat and seem to be missing something.

I say:
Dragon Boxes > Level Sets = Kai
Except certain rare parts of Kai which are superb quality. Level Blu-Rays look fantastic, but the colors are a little too dark and a bit dull, too.
