Which let's down the shows in more ways than one. With American cartoons they have seasons, Anime doesn't it just keeps pumping out episode after episode non stop.

Not only does this mean we get filler which we wouldn't have if they also did seasons at a time but the more spent on making those filler episodes could have gone into better the other episodes look better.

One Piece, Naruto, Fairy Tail etc would have been better off if they aired for 6 months then took a break for 6 months and so on.
Most Japanese cartoons are produced in seasons. Only a few long-running shows are produced year-round and even then they are produced in seasons. Naruto Shippuuden has a new season twice a year, both two cours long. The Opening changes and the DVDs change arc title. The series is planned ahead of schedule six months at a time, too.

Producing fewer episodes a year won't mean higher budgets. Higher budget titles are aimed at Otaku who buy home video and other merchandise. Naruto or One Piece are big enough in popularity that they can sustain year-round series that serve as constant marketing opportunities. If the series isn't constantly on the air there is less money being made, meaning the production committees are going to spend less money.

Funny that.
Both, Goku and Vegeta are visibly thinner

Yeah, it seems disappointing that the character design sheets have apparently been ignored on this aspect for the film proper.

I really wish there were better close ups of the base and SSGSS Saiyans though.

Man, everyone's tweeting photos of Nozawa and I'm just sat here crying in jealousy. The event looks amazing.

I don't know about anyone else, but it's so surreal to see a Dragon Ball film getting an LA red carpet premiere in 2015. Not to mention the fact that the present of Toei and Shuiesha are there alongside Yamamuro and Nozawa. That's just mindblowingly awesome.

Will that be the only part where Katsuyoshi's work come into play or more? also the cgi will there be more like that fight scene?
Nakatsuru drew the scenes where Bluper Saiyan Vegeta fights Golden Freeza, Freeza destroys Earth, and Goku kills Freeza with kamehameha.

They merged Goku's 3D CGI model with Nakatsuru's drawing for the special effect. That weird part of his face is the 3D model accidentally slipped in.

Vegeta looks a bit super skinny even in base form.Goku looks normal but vegeta is soo skinny lol, what happened to him?o.0??Also his head is much bigger than usual compared to his body.In BoG it was fine and normal but in the the RoF screens his body proportions are a bit abnormal hehe.

I think the slenderness is just Toriyama's modern artstyle.

I see, glad to hear that. Thanks a lot Kei  I hope that scene looks good in 3D.

So anxious to read some Gokû and Vegeta interactions. X3

The Funi website said the movie airs from 12pm-2pm. Yet folks are posting pics of being in the theater. Granted it could be photos taken in the past but still! I hate the wait!

Its utterly amazing how much Toriyama's style has changed over the years. I wonder why he likes skinny designs now?
Why is Johnny Young there? Is he voicing a character? I'm more accustomed to seeing him at PMC or other Power Rangers related events.

Thank you, and I think that's what I heard somewhere earlier in this thread, but again thank you.

That's good to know.

Do you remember how long Vegeta's fight was ?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Are the fights as good as the Goku vs Beerus rematch?

Ugh, what I'd give to be at that Premiere right now. Jealousy may be a bitter thing, but I am very impressed with how proactive Toei are approaching their outreach to the world market with this release.

This is gonna be one looong Summer :(

I'd also like to know about how long Vegeta's fight lasts. Hopefully longer than the one he had with Beerus, lol.

Beerus, Bulma, Goku, Tenshinhan, Jaco, Kamesen'nin, Gohan, Piccolo and Kuririn all survive in Whis' little bubble.

Goku's fight is roughly 20 minutes long while Vegeta's is more of a short beatdown taking place in the space of about five minutes.
