Woah, did I read that right? Goku's fight is 20 minutes? Toriyama weren't kidding when he said he'd up the action!
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
That's including all the transformations and pauses to talk, it's not just one long fight scene. Toriyama's statement certainly rings true, though.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Woah, did I read that right? Goku's fight is 20 minutes? Toriyama weren't kidding when he said he'd up the action!

The 30 seconds he got in BOG were great so with this being a lot longer and getting the best part of the movie's animation it'll probably be one of if not the best Vegeta's moments in the series especially with it ending with Freeza on the ground while he stands over him.AjayLikesGaming wrote:Vegeta's is more of a short beatdown taking place in the space of about five minutes.
Thanks a lot for sharing this.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Yeah course, but even then I never expected twenty minutes, that is awesome! Man, with each passing news I am getting more and more excited to watch this! Look's like they will be done in LA any time now, will be interesting to see what the reaction will be.AjayLikesGaming wrote:That's including all the transformations and pauses to talk, it's not just one long fight scene. For me that is on contrary... The more news come, the more I become even more disappointed. The plot is too simple and cheap(Freeza's huge upgrade in not even explained a bit), too many CGI, really few surprises, I'm not a fan of this SSGSS, no hints for a third movie, Freeza becoming once again a punch bag for Goku and Vegeta, Earth being saved by a cheap deus-ex-machina trick, not even a single word about the other universes, so on, so forth...Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Yeah course, but even then I never expected twenty minutes, that is awesome! Twitter has been vibrant throughout this evening with the #DBZRedCarpet trend. FUNimation has done an incredible job organising the event, and showing how much Dragon Ball Z means to the western world.
Seeing Nozawa with top Toei and Shueisha execs at the event is really something special that they've managed to pull off.
It's a shame for us that Manga UK don't hold this sort of sway with Toei, just to have a limited weekend release would be something.
It's looking likely that if you live outside of the States, and want to see the movie with English subs, or even the dub that's coming in time for the summer, you'll be lucky to see the movie before the end of the year on home video.
Kudos, FUNi.

Bulma survives the explosion and is along with Kakarot... This movie better take place in Age 779.

Idk. I think it'll be a nice inside joke for fans. Still works since Sonny Strait plays Usopp too.AjayLikesGaming wrote:Probably just little stuff like Kuririn's ring tone being the "We Are" song from One Piece. Haven't seen that mentioned yet.Dyno wrote:Any chance of seeing something new today? A scene/picture by a camera or getting a detail which the synopsis didn't cover?
That scene is going to make no sense in the dub.

Wait, that 'We Are' bit is real? That's great. XD
Re: ssjblue
It's very monkey's paw to me. I wanted blue ssjg Vegeta so bad, and I got him...at the expense of magenta ssjg Gokû. >_<
But you know I still don't know if Toyotaro was embellishing in the manga with that brief glimpse of ssjg Gokû. I'm hoping that is in the movie too.

That actually would have been really funny if Goku had stayed Red and Vegeta got Blue, and in the next movie they have to fuse and become a Purple Gogeta/Vegito.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
Or the "dominant" one versus the "recessive" one... In this case, protagonism wins. Which means red Gogeta/Vegeto.

Kei17, I am curious, what was Bulma's reaction to Vegeta dying?

After watching that tv spot, the CGI is real let down. It looks budokai 1.They should have stuck with 2D animation.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
I'm really curious so ill ask.
Anyone who has seen the movie know if vegeta is in his ssj god state or base when freeza blows up earth? Also did the explosion kill him or lack of air?
Also why didnt vegeta protect himself or something?
As for the 20 min fight, well the goku vs beerus fight lasted around 10 minutes, after that 4 minutes was goku struggling with beeru's massive fireball looking ki blast and absorbing it.

Interesting that Jaco survives in Whis' bubble. I'm looking forward to seeing his interactions with Whis considering he is breaking the law on time travel.
Maybe it's the set-up for the appearance of the Kai of Time in the third movie!

Even seeing that SSJ form in motion I still dislike it...

-Just watched the new tv spot-

OMG OMG the animation is so beautiful. Can't thank you enough, Toei
The choreography seems cool too. Can anyone remind me, what was the problem of Yamamuro being the director?!
Lets reach that 4 billion!!
