Wtf how is Toriyama going to explain this complex story to kids hahah.

I am wondering how and when is Zeno going to involve with al.this.

If Beerus kills Zamasu and Zamasu kills his teacher thats game over for god of destruction U10 assuming these 2 are the only kais?

Gowasu directly referenced a Hakaishin when Zamasu expressed they should wipe out mortals.

Well keep in mind that Kaioshin is on Earth before Beerus goes to kill Zamasu, and beyond that Kaioshin would actually be safer being near strong people like Beerus.

Nothing, it's just a random guess. It could work since he knows everything, he might have some way to contact them because of that and just tells Kaioshin since he's kinda like the boss of the Universe and it would be good if he knew that another Kaioshin(in training) is fuckin around in his universe.

The best kid shows have deeper meanings that can't be interpreted by the kids.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

y'all really had a 10 page+ discussion about time paradoxes

How can any of these cats know if this whole thing is a paradox if they haven't even gone to the future? Honestly we all shouldn't try to make sense of anything for the time being. We still have a LOT of information that will be presented over the next three weeks that will more than likely answer our questions. I'm still really confused though.
Dragon Ball /Z/GT/Super is a children's show and there's nothing wrong with that.

I don't think it's that complicated. Still, it's about time for them to remember there's a older fanbase out there too.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Yeah people are assuming far to much from very brief and short summaries.

I'm 10+ pages late to the party but...

Beerus is going to destroy someone? Really?   (maybe they will reveal later that he failed though :lolno: hopefully its not the case :P )

I'm intrigued in knowing about Black´s identity :D (finally)
And I'm so happy there´s more Tomioka writting :D :D

These month sounds pretty interesting. And hopefully it will be.

Zamas is going to get immortality at the end of tomorrow's episode or the beginning of the one after that, so Beerus "destroying" Zamas in episode 60(or 61? can't recall) obviously won't mean the death of Zamas, as he's immortal and would only appear to be destroyed, before inevitably coming back.

When I first saw the summaries, my initial thought was that he was going to be a ghost, like LightBing mentioned and has apparently been discussed over on Reddit and then posses Goku's body or something.
But I think the way it's implied that the Zamas, Goku and co. lost to in Trunks' timeline is also the one Goku fought in the main timeline, makes that theory non-sensical, so I'm intrigued to see, how this will pan out.

And obviously U10 and U6 only has one Kaioshin each until stated otherwise. The 5 Kaioshin set-up from U7 was already thrown out the window a few years back, when Toriyama said there were 3 Kaioshin and now in Super, it seems he's simplified it even more with just 1 Kaioshin and 1 Hakaishin per universe.

I think we're definitely heading in the direction of a temporal paradox here, which is a shame, but I will try to enjoy the story regardless, as it's very intriguing and exciting. I just wish the anime took a bit more advantage of its potential as a medium, but they clearly don't have too much time, so I'll have to settle.

I just hope that Beerus not just kills Zamasu but Black as well. To me that would be a great end fight as we know that no one else can match him.

It's not like kids understand every detail anyhow. All I remember from watching Cell Saga as a kid, was Gohan going SSJ2. Back then I had no idea Cell was even from the future.

Kids watch for cool flashy stuff.

I hope Zamasu will land some legit blows on Beerus before he 'kills' him.

Would be pretty cool to see the concern at his powerup from the God of destruction.

For all this back and forth over the time travel stuff, I'm still wondering if Trunks' scarf is 17s taken as a battle trophy :P

That's what I want to know.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Haha I was thinking the same thing. But 17's Scarf is orange while Trunks' is red.

It could also be Bulma's scarf from RoF

Wouldn't be the first thing Super changed the color of ;)

Though Whis' original little spiel on time travel was just plain wrong in regards to Trunks as he doesn't cause any problems what so ever, unless Xenoverse counts where too many timelines cause a big problem.
But it caused some problems. The appearence of #19 and #20, the appearence of #16, whose death caused Gohan to turn SSJ2, which lead to Goku and Vegeta achieving that level, which lead to their fight, which lead to Buu's ressurection etc. All events that played out significantly different than in Trunks' timeline, caused exactly by meddling with time be it by Cell or Trunks. The fact that it turned out fine in the end is another point altogether. Whis' explanation just illustrates the butterfly effect, albeit him putting a negative spin on things as a warning of the consequences of time traveling to the past, not necessarily that things HAVE to turn to shit, but that they might as well could, which is why it's forbbiden.
But you know, the point mentioned by dbzfan7 is still valid despite your (otherwise correct) explanation.
Until now we have no idea why this would be of any concern anyways. (As in: For the original timeline.)

In Trunks' timeline, Goku died from his heart virus etc. and after all this mess of Trunks and Cell doing some time traveling, we end up in "our" timeline, i.e. the one that the manga follows.
Now, you are totally right, as things unfold significantly different, which could be explained by the butterfly effect which Whis was talking about.

However, for Trunks' timeline, the "original" one, this is of no concern. In this timeline, nothing changed at all.

Now we could argue whether Trunks' powerup during to his time traveling, which enabled him to defeat the cyborgs would have created another split timeline or not.
But as far as we know, in the end, time traveling did not change anything for the original timeline, but only created a new reality, kind of a "copy" timeline.

So the question still is, why is meddling with time - according to Whis - bad in any way?
Let's say, someone would start to meddle with "our" timeline again. Then there would just be another split between the unmodified and a newly generated, modified timeline (another "copy").
So unless they add some information on how this would be bad in any way (e.g. too many copies being bad like in "Xenoverse"*), I fail to see any significant problem due to some butterfly effect.

*: Although I always found it weird in Xenoverse that you could just re-integrate a modified timeline back into the original one after messing with it even more (i.e. Towa/Miwa change history by powering up villains and you, the hero character, enter these battles, modifying things even further, but "correcting" the outcome in the end.)

It's bad because you can end up screwing the history of the new timeline. Yours will remains the same, but the new one will turn differently and for the people in that one, it might prove terrible. Just because everything turned out fine in the timeline we are following, it doesn't mean it's always rainbows and sunshine.
