Hope you're not talking about me. Barely referenced Gohan since episode 52, I have clearly admitted that his time is over and put a hypothesis on why. Although I did have one comment about episode 54 irking me, but only because it was brought up so I thought I might as well say it. Wasn't even the main point of my comment. Most of my discussion since has basically just been saying he's not a subpar fighter, and that he's quit martial arts. Not really whining. If you're not talking about me then my bad.Anime Kitten wrote:First, yay because Yoka Yoka Dance is staying.
Second, can we let this Gohan issue go already? I fully encourage discussion, but when you constantly invade this thread with nonstop whining about Gohan, it starts to become very worn.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

I'm referring to anyone who somehow takes the discussion to the same old Gohan subject. I'm not intentionally singling anyone out.

Only for one more episode. I'm not really sure that's worth celebrating.Anime Kitten wrote:First, yay because Yoka Yoka Dance is staying.

So post Black arc would ya'll prefer a mini- (filler) arc & a bunch of Slice of life episodes. (Like we had preBlack)
Or would you prefer it if we dived in? Honestly I prefer the mini arcs and slice of life, Fairy Tail usually does it before/after every big arc, I think it really does help let everything wind down and sink in before jumping into the next big arc. Plus I really do enjoy Super and it's slice of life episodes.

I'd say Super pretty much has to calm down with some slice of life between the Black arc and the next. It's like riding a roller coaster; you need some slow to enjoy going fast.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:So post Black arc would ya'll prefer a mini- (filler) arc & a bunch of Slice of life episodes. In this case, I'd want the slice of life to last for six episodes, two of them being EoZ (and three before and one right after) so that we can finally move on from the current timeframe. That's just me, though.

I still think EoZ will be a bit too soon. We've only had two arcs so far plus the promise of the Sadala trip and the Omniverse tournament thingy. Think it's gonna be a while until they get to EoZ.Alruneia wrote:I'd say Super pretty much has to calm down with some slice of life between the Black arc and the next. It depends how the Future Trunks Saga ends. If it ends like the Saiyan Saga, breather episodes will feel a little out of place, although I can see an episode dedicated to calming things down.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:So post Black arc would ya'll prefer a mini- (filler) arc & a bunch of Slice of life episodes. We've had four. Battle of Gods and Resurrection F do count as arcs in the current timeframe, even if they were retellings of movies. Four arcs over the course of two-three years (778-780) is actually way more than anything Dragon Ball has done before, even if the arcs were bigger back in DB and Z. Time used to pass.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:I still think EoZ will be a bit too soon. We've only had two arcs so far plus the promise of the Sadala trip and the Omniverse tournament thingy. About the Salad trip, that's the arc I want to see next, and I want to see them experiment with a Goku-less arc. While Goku is training Uub (perfect excuse), Vegeta and co. travel to Salad and happen upon a conflict of some sort. Not only will this give Vegeta some character moments, it will also force other people to fill the gap Goku leaves. Since that gap is huge, it can be filled by many people. Cabba, Gohan, Teen Goten and Teen Trunks (please), Piccolo... you get the idea, and it subverts the idea of "The Goku and Vegeta Show" hard.

I still think the main cast going to visit Planet Salad in Universe 6 and coming into a conflict is an idea that should be saved for the next movie.
The villains could be a small band of evil Saiyans who want to overthrow the Government. The idea being that this was essentially how it got started with the Saiyans in Universe 7 and what led to the war and then Vegeta's family taking over and their home planet getting destroyed in the processs but this time Vegeta would be fighting on behalf of the good Saiyans to stop that from happening again to another Saiyan home world. It'd have a whole redemption thing going on to bring him full circle.
I think it'd make for a good movie. It could be canon but it wouldn't have to affect Super because it'd just be a little vacation in between arcs.

That actually sounds like a great movie. I would like to see something like that happen. Vegeta would finally get his kill of a main villain too I guess so that would work out in that way too.Bullza wrote:I still think the main cast going to visit Planet Salad in Universe 6 and coming into a conflict is an idea that should be saved for the next movie.

I want to see Planet Salad, but I'd be disappointed if Gokû didn't go. I know it'd drop my interest in the arc.
As for movie or episodes? Either is fine.

I think they don't care really much for Dragonball movies anymore because they are to focused on the series mostly
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Agreed. Goku is a saiyan and should get more in touch with his roots. Saiyans with similar view points would be good. Because they're good guys too. Imagine the King of planet Salad looks just like Goku.Chuquita wrote:I want to see Planet Salad, but I'd be disappointed if Gokû didn't go. I know it'd drop my interest in the arc.

Oh that would be hilarious. The more this concept gets fleshed out the more it makes me want to see it.DBS916 wrote:Agreed. Goku is a saiyan and should get more in touch with his roots. lol yeah! I thought it would be funny the King would look similar to Goku because Goku himself is good hearted and that it would be fitting.THEGOKU wrote:Oh that would be hilarious. In fact I would prefer it to be, since then Pan and Uub could compete.

That would give us more on Uub's character which I think he needs but I don't think they are going to do anything past EoZ and change all of that.ArchedThunder wrote:The tournament could be after the end of Z.Baggie_Saiyan wrote: I still think EoZ will be a bit too soon. I could see the LAST arc of Super happening a bit after EoZ, but that's really it.
